My issue deals with people telling me I'm not black enough. First of all, It's really sad that I have to get referred to as some black guy. I want to be know as Marcus. I feel like the world wants to give me preselected options on who I can be. I enjoy sports and dancing, but I also like to sky dive and listen to alternative rock. I'll just say this to all the bigots: "Go out and get a PHD in Genetics, find the gene that conferss a preference towards being ghetto, and I will rest my case."

i get that all the time too, but most of the time i hear it from black people, which hurts even more. i just think about it this way: they're putting themselves into a box that they cant escape by insinuating that black people cannot be intelligent and that they can only listen to certain types of music. when white people say things like that i take it as empowerment to better myself and prove them wrong.

People that think this watch to much television and as a result have been sucked up by the media! Plus they are ignorant and probably haven't hung around a good amount of black people. But when black people say this I think they are being ignorant as well.
