They got into bad situations and circumstances: Invested all their money in something that didn't pull through; lost everything in a house fire; became disabled and unable to work; are living in an environment where it is almost impossible to find good, well paying jobs; or didn't have enough money to start a trade or finish a degree.

Poverty is a choice of poor, uninformed, uneducated, decisions or expecting a hand out. It takes effort and doing sometimes the unknown to get out of poverty.

Not everyone is: but there can be many reasons for it. Lack of opportunity to better oneself, lack of education, slander hurting someone, laziness, and more I am sure.

I think people are poor because they blow their money on stupid stuff, or they spend money that they don't have.

cause they spend money on lotteries and expensive clothes for no reason. they should be saving money to be rich. duh
