Most of those that migrate to other country says that there is racism there.Depending on the country that they are going to. Some that migrate to the U.S says that racism is still there. But in other countries(those that belong to the 3rd world list), racism is being done to their own countrymen. Why? All of us are the same.We live, we eat, we work, and we die. What is there that people think they are superior to others? Is it because of the unique physical features each of us have?

Our asian continent in the east is reputed for its superstitions, age-old beliefs and extreme social evils governing our conservative society. The orthodox beliefs strongly steeped in the mindset of indians are how far helpful for the general welfare and development of the people and our country. Some of the aggressive social evils like the sati or atrocity against widows, divorcees, etc have not been completely eradicated. Inspite of the social reforms and laws enacted for the welfare of women, there only appears to be a cold war against women. People in general find it difficult to accept single divorcees or widows as humans amongst them. They are stigmatised and considered as a bad omen to mingle. Even in the 21st century single divorcees or widows are not allowed to shop in Malls where customers arranging marriages, etc. shop in excess. This has been my one among several personal experiences in our indian society as a single divorcee.

It really bothers me that there are people working hard out there to make the world a happy place to live in, while emos spend there sad lives cutting themselves and promoting hate. Is this a mean assumption? I also think emos are scary.

As a British Asian, Who thinks or who feels that multiculturisim has weaken ties within the different ethnic groups. Does anyone feel that people of different faiths - cultures have used this freedom to meet there own needs? Would you feel comfortable living in another country and expect the repect and dictate your needs as many ethnic minorites, or would you live by the rules of that country?

I am an american asian man dating many beautiful women in NYC. first it wasn't obvious, but now it's gotten to my head and i have to learn how to deal with it. i've begun to notice that sometimes hispanic males would stare down at me while i'm with my date, especially if she's white. i've used many tactics, and the one most useful at the moment is confronting them with a question, "i've noticed that you've been staring at me. can i help you?"

if you're non-hispanic and non-white and are dating white women sometimes, can you relate to this? and if so, how do you deal with it? i've just had it up to here. thank you for responding.

and btw, only a few hispanics are racists, but the ones that i get confronted with stand out the most. and since we are able to talk about dealing with white racists, etc, i believe that we should be able to talk about other racists, especially now that hispanics are the biggest minority in the u.s.

thanks in advance.

why is it that when racism is mentioned, blacks are the first to get talked about. everyone says that blacks need to stop complaining. that we are being racist ourself by demanding all black this and that. correct me if im wrong but during jim crow laws were we not givin our "OWN" colored people this and that. it has been proven that blacks are still treated as second class citizens in the united states. by having all black colleges, businessess and other things the government is trying to cover up the issue. i mean really each race is credited with both positive and negative traits. there are plenty of poor and under privlidge whites whose plights go un noticed next to a struggling black man's story. i think that instead of feeding into the negatives of any race only the positive should be taught and acceptance should be spread worldwide so we can build a better tomorrow for our children.

Puert Rico is a territory of US, and Puerto ricans they have access to a lot of American Educatinal Resources still they get less in verbal part of GRE than other spanish countries. This is really interesting for me. Could it be because of their spanish accent? or it might be something else?

I have found that many answers by americans in the questions assume that everyone on here is american. do some people just not know that there are other countries here as well? i am not trying to cause offence here, but it does annoy me a little.

i think everyone who writes a question where country is relevant should let people know where they have come from to avoid confusion. Does anybody else agree with this?
