I ask this because I recently viewed a show on a so-called conspiracy as well as the South Park episode and curious about what others think.

I already know about Julius Ceasar, I was not talking about that. Also, the episode of South Park was actually showing what some conspiracy believers actually believe, even to this day, they say things like we never landed on the moon, 9/11 was an inside job. I have actually seen videos on these wack jobs, and trust me, they are far from open minded. This was posted due to some people who go to questions and chew them out, so if that is what you are going to do, then you may as well go to another question.

I also never said anyting about talk shows. I guess I should have been more clear, it was on the history channel, and last time I checked, there are no talk shows on that channel. Documentaries, yes, mini series, yes, talk shows? I don't think so.

Why are conspiracy believers such idiots - because they can only see the subject and sometimes the world in a very narrow point of view. With blinders on, a world that "fits" what they want to believe in. Any "facts" conflict with the world as they have built it and causes conflict in their minds.

Why are you so quick to condemn those who believe in conspiracies. Have you done any independent research of your own. Conspiracies have been around for centuries. The murder of Julius Caesar was a conspiracy. It wasn't the work of one lone nut. Read some history. You might find some things there that would surprise you. All the conspiracy theorists are saying is Look Deeper. Don't accept without question what the government and media are telling you. I really don't see anything wrong with that. Ok, maybe you don't agree with a particular conspiracy. That is your right. But at least be willing to examine it with an open mind and try not to make any judgements beforehand about it one way or another.

First of all--*anyone* on Southpark comes off looking like an idiot. And many of the people chosen to be on talk shows are also chosen for their entertainment value more than their message. I'm not saying that most conspiracies are *true,* but as long as someone's willing to believe that their theories are just that--theories--I kind of admire their open-mindedness. Now, if they get zealous about how their beliefs are the one-and-only truth? That worries me in anybody, including certain religious groups.

Keep in mind that some people who suspected the Nazi party, back in the 30's, were considered conspiracy theorists. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

What??? You mean that you don't believe that the Government has been performing autopsy on the body of the alien that landed in area 51 that they made the deal with to abduct humans with so they could study us?

LOL

Anyone who takes South Park seriously has already called their own sanity into question.

So, you're one of those very few people who believe that 'when there is smoke, there is no fire' and the 'grapevine' is just a rumor.

Stay in your cocoon so you'll not be hurt by what you'll never know.

Conspiracy theorists do not just eat what is fed to them, maybe that is above your comprehension but that is what it is

Because they are idiots. Like the so called "right to life" jack-asses, that bomb abortion clinics causing death. ??? They believe that doing something stupid, or believing something stupid, is better than just plain BEING stupid. Then, they pair off and have babies. Stop the madness.
