I am living in french.
For the french media, the americans are bad, idiots, bad level in school, ignorants.

I know, this isnt the reality.

Don't you mean you're living in France?

I can see why many French don't like Americans. While I *love* Americans (being one myself), I know that many of those who visit France are indeed loud, expect their money to excuse all levels of rudeness and, since few of us learn a second language, certainly appear stupid. It's not all of us, thank goodness, but the French have no way of knowing that the quiet person who understands all the customs, and knows to say "Bonjour Madame" instead of just "Bonjour," and waits politely in line might also be an American. I'm sometimes mistaken as a Canadian :-)

If you need other reasons why the French don't like the Americans, I have two words for you: Freedom fries.

Many of us find it very, very humorous that the French and the French media don't like us.

What are they going to do about it?

They're like yappy little dogs. Like .... poodles maybe?
