it just i dont act like one at work and i wear the uniform i dont wear any make up or have black nails at work and do my job but i get insults from customers and in one case i was insults so badly that head office had to be involed

the other staff love my look and ask me questions about it and some time joke about it like do u like this top oh wait of course not its not black
but customers judge me

Most seem to be on a real downer most of the time. It brings everyone else down with them.

Maybe it's the way they dress or look. Some people sometimes fear or think think the worst about things they don't know or understand. Some people often judge a book by it's cover. Which is wrong but they do.Being a indiviual and doing your own thing is a price you pay alot of times for being different.

...Although i have nothing against 'goths' myself i think in todays world apperane has a lot of input in the work place and employers want to be represented by fashionable people who are not viewed badly by the public... Even if people arnt fully fashionable it is seen as nicer than all black and darked eyed make up..

There is just a preconceived notion of how people are supposed to look in the workplace, and since Gothism is about being the anthesis of what is considered normal and cookie cutter, people don't accept it.

most gothic people are not social people.they usually do not care what most people think of them.some reasons people go gothic,attention,depression,fashion,unsocial...ect.
