Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender - June 2007

i know some gay men and they are just like anybody else, why is it that if a gay man is on tv then he has to sort of "act" gay
for example the man on the friday night project, alan carr he hsa been chosen because he is a stereotype of what people would assume to be gay,
can a gay man still be funny if he dosent act so camp

I have a question...I know its a little silly to ask, but I just want a few opinions before I really think of anything. First, I'm a female, and I'm engaged to the best guy ever. I love him so much, and I want to spend the rest of my life with him!
Recently, I've been "noticing" other girls, and seem to want certain interaction with them. I feel a need for a girl. I even had a dream about a girl and I last night, and I liked it. I told my fiancee about it, and he said that I might be bisexual. (He doesn't mind, haha. He likes it too)!
I thought I was bisexual before, and actually went as far as making out with a girl before, then I waved it off and said I wasn't. I went back to thinking it was gross for a long time, and now I can't help it. I find myself constantly thinking about being with a girl WHILE being with my fiancee at the same time.
What are some of your opinions? Do you think I'm bisexual or is it a phase?

In a press release from the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Holsinger’s opposition to gay people is outlined. The article indicates Holsinger “promoted ‘reparative therapy,’” which is alarming. If Holsinger believes in ex-gay therapy, the United States could be in the position of having a Surgeon General who is endorsing what is generally considered to be unethical medical/therapeutic practices. Given the fact that the Surgeon General promotes the general health and well-being of all people, the possible appointment of a man who might still hold potentially therapeutically harmful beliefs about gay people causes concern. People can change their opinions. We hope James Holsinger has changed his opinion regarding ex-gay counselling. We are not certain what Holsinger’s current beliefs are regarding ex-gay counselling. We encourage residents of the United States to research into Holsinger’s beliefs, and to contact their Representative, Senator, and the White House with any concerns or opinions they have about Holsinger serving as the Surgeon General. so heres another post about my friend whom ive known since 1st grade whom i think is gay (hope he is!!!) because im gay and am crushing on him. fyi were both 16. anyway, more specifically, i think hes gay for these instances---1 he stood next to me in the bathroom urinals wen no1 else was there and pulled his whole package out in 7th grade. 2. in 8th grade, we wrestled and shanked each other, and one time his d i c k came out and he just tucked it back and didnt pull his pants up. 3. also in 8th grade (were in 10 now), we wrestled at my house and threw pillows and laughed n smiled n looked each other in the eyes, then i threw him onto the bed and hugged him from behind for like 2 mins and he didnt mind. 4. hes never had a gf. 5. he never talks bout girls. 6. girls ask him out he always says no. 7. we went on a bus trip to NY and on the streets we were takin a break from walkin and i nudged him and he nudged me bak (that was this year). we been busy w/sports/skool cuz we g2 differnt

i am a guy. my buddy is a girl, whom i think might be a lesbian. if she is, i believe it would mean a lot for her to be accepted for who she is. of course, that means that she has to trust me enough to tell me in the first place. now, how would i generate this trust without putting any stress on her or intimating that she is or is not a lesbian?

Really, What do you think about this guys that are always scare of people that have different sexual tendencies. My friend is always reapeating that he does not like homosexuals and that he could not stand to be near one. In my personal opinion I do believe that either he is an ignorant or even better I do believe that he is homosexual. Some times I do really believe that he is an homosexual afraid to be descovered because of his culture, religion, family or even society still don't accept them. Please give an opinion.

Every time I put those words together in front of a gay man, I get a nasty look. I am not a native speaker, but it is a word I commonly use to refer to something distasteful. i.e.
That game sucked!

almost all his brothers are gay except him and the older one

I'll start from primary school. I came into the london when I was about 10 or less. Basically I was a free spirit - I hardly knew any english but I made tons of friends (who I don't think i can call friends since they were actually making fun of me). Anyways by the time i got to secondary school I was quite fluent. This meant I understood more of the insults and everything. I also knew that I was gay from a young age - so when people around me were using the word 'gay' as way of insulting people - it hurt me even though it wasn't always directed at me. In addition to it - I was made fun of for my colour - I'm quite dark. This hurt the most. I sort of went in a state where I'd become defensive about anything. I easily get angry with people at home right now. The peace of mind that I was in when I younger is completly gone - my confidence is barely alive. I 'm going into university next year and i want to change back to that old care free self. When I knew how to make friends. Any Ideas?

When I was younger I was bullied by a coloured boy who constant called me names like wigger, white-trash, honkie, all of which I found deeply offensive. One day I turned to him and said "Look, you've been calling me these offensive names long enough. How would you like it if I followed you around calling you a n****r?". Suddenly I was in trouble with the school authorities and everybody thought I was racist!

I have never had any problem with anyone based on their religeon, the colur of their skin, sexual orientation etc..., but because I turned around to this person and asked him a genuine question to show how upset he was making me, suddenly lots of people assumed I did. My problem wasn't anything to do with his skin colour, my problem was with him as a person.

It's all in the past now and we both managed to sort things out, but was I wrong to react the way that I did?
