I just came out about a week ago and I am staying at a friends. I really upset my family. My dad told me that I need to see a shrink and my mom found my male porno in secret places in my room. What should I do? Do I confront the issue?

Ok i have a really attractive STRAIGHT friend. She knows i am Bi and always use to play up on the situation by flirting and leading me on. I have fallen for her once and got majorly hurt : ( We have once had an occasional hook up (no strings attached) thing that lasted for a few months until she got a boyfriend. I went out on a date on Friday night with my ex she messaged me asking what i was doing (i told her i was going out to movies and dinner) she started asking with who and that i dont tell her anything. Well on Sunday she asked me to come around and talk, i did and she told me that she wants to break up with her boyfriend because its not waht she wants. She said she want to be with a girl full time, and wants to know if i am interested (i know shes straight). It just seems everytime i am going to end up with someone she does this and it driving me crazy! i really like her as a friend and would love to have someone like her in my life but i dont know what to do? PLEASE HELP!

I've seen that word used several times in this section & once in awhile in the Society & Culture section but I have no idea what the word means. When my daughter was young there was a movie called "A troll in Central Park" & if I recall right he was a cute little thing. I'm a girl, I'm almost 13 years old, and I'm having a huge problem. Alot of my friends know that I'm bi, and I like other girls. There are these girls in my old school that I'm crushing on. BEFORE I BEGIN: PLEASE FORGIVE MY GENERALIZATIONS AND STEREOTYPES

I have a crush on a certain guy (very SEXY man), but due to recent events, I have put my "Gay-dar" on for him:

On a typical day, he usually stares AND smiles at me for long periods of time

However, he really "connects" with WOMEN---as in I see him with more women friends who really admire him than men friends

He's very Sensitive ("abnormally" sensitive) ---it's almost as though he "understands" women

I've seen him put his hands on his hips (once)

I've seen a small instance of a "gay-bounce" in his stride/walk

I've seen him at one point cross his legs like a woman an clasp his hands over his knees

Recently, He's been avoiding me---there was a trip that our club/organization went on, and he talked to and said goodbye to everyone BUT me.

HOWEVER,

I have'nt really detected anything in his voice (although it's quite tender and SEXY!!!--I might add)

ARRRGGHH!!!!! He has such a great personality and sense of humor.

To me it would be like someone asking why are people straight?just wondering it seems like alot of homophobic straight people have so much to say (mostly negative) about something they know so little about. ie...being gay or lesbian..NOT being around a gay or lesbian. big difference.

It wasn't until I was on my 7th or 8th question that it dawned on me that by telling them not to try and control the lives of LGBTs I'm technically doing the same thing (i.e. telling them how to live their lives)...

So do you think it comes across as overly hypocritical or just a twisted irony that you can't preach tolerance and acceptance without being intolerant and rejecting in the first place? Hmmm?
