People above have listed a lot of cities with a high population of gay households, or a large active gay community. That's cool.
But, a few years ago "Out" magazine ranked Columbus, Ohio as the most livable city in America for gay and lesbian people. This was based on civil rights laws, gay community, cost of living and a lot of other factors.

Washington DC ranks right up there with the best of them.
Atlanta, LA, New York, Chicago...any really large city is going to be a Gay attraction. Key West is not very gay any longer. MIami/South Beach is as Gay a place as any I have been. San Diego has a very large Gay population, San Francisco is not as gay as you would think, but has a sizable gay population.
