I've seen that word used several times in this section & once in awhile in the Society & Culture section but I have no idea what the word means. When my daughter was young there was a movie called "A troll in Central Park" & if I recall right he was a cute little thing. The reason I'm asking in this section is because I've seen it used here more often & when I ask questions the people here are usually the kindest to me since I'm not all that bright. Thank You

Trolls is a term giving to people who go on to message boards, forums or any other place people "talk" on the Internet just to post things that will annoy/hurt/insult/make fun of people.

A troll (in general gayspeak) is usually an older guy at a gay club who stares at the younger guys in the hopes than one will want to go home with him.
A troll (online) usually refers to someone who either makes no contribution at all or no contribution of value.

A troll is someone who is abusive and offensive, harassing and insulting. They only come here to post hate and violence. I hope you never have to be subjected to this sort of abuse. Trolls are nasty creatures and they should be avoided. Peace be with you. :)

online, as demonstrated frequently on these message boards (and not just in LGBT forums), a troll is someone who comes to online message boards, chat rooms etc, to verbally harass/abuse/deliberately antagonize/start trouble and preach hatred and intolerance.

trolls in gay bars are unwanted men that just l;eer at the young hot bodies; online trolling is just butting in on people and harassing people; a storybook troll lives under bridges and eats people; the troll in the movie troll was scary as hell..
