i dont want to offend her or anything. we have been chatting, we both go to different universities. i asked her if she wants to maybe go out, she said ya. i mostly dont want my parents to find out shes ts. I dunno if it makes me gay or not, but i know how my parents will feel. currently i live with them still til done with college, but either way last people i'd wanna lose is them. I know they wont accept her, because i once dated a girl that was black and my dad was pissed, but he didnt know we were dating i some how played it off that we were just "friends"

After you've been with someone for awhile-do they always change? I mean like make alot of promises and tell you just how much they love you and can't live without you,and a year or so later-they act completely different! Not mean-just not the same person you met and fell inlove with!

Once a religion begins to establish forced control over others, or to make its teachings dogma that must be followed or punishment results, then that religion loses sight of true spiritual understanding. That is when it brings in the seeds of corruption. It replaces the need to promote true spiritual understanding with the desire to establish its superiority over others, which can lead to the ways of totalitarianism. Then politics, disunity, intrigue and even war become prevalent.
All true religions accept that God is the ultimate unifying principle, an omnipotent, supremelu spiritual being who has infinite intelligence and capabilities, abd from whom comes pure and unlimited love for one and all. He reciprocates with us to the degree to which we surrender or desire to understand Him. A religion which cannot offer such an understanding, or whose followers have perverted the philosophy, or who cannot apply it in their daily lives, is not a truly progressive or elevating religion. In such a case, it becomes necessary to get away from the church to get closer to God. after all, the church should not make itself more important than the true spiritual knowledge it should be promoting. In other words, when the process of worship outweighs the object of worship, or God, then you have already lost Him. Such a religion will not be spiritually successful and should be corrected or avoided.
What this means, as we head into the future, is that it will be most important for people to be spiritually knowledgeable and to think for themselves and recognize that forced dogma is not what true religion is about. We have already spent many centuries witnessing religions supressing and persecuting others and we should have learned our lesson by now. As spiritual beings, we all have an eternal relationship with the Supreme Spirit. No church or institution or its representatives can interfere with that. We do not have to participate in any religion that forces us to be subservient to a faulty creed or misleading or corrupt leaders. we must only serach out those individuals, pure devotees, who can assist us and gives us the spiritual knowledge by which we can understand and reach the Supreme Being ourselves, with or without any institution or organized religion. To become atheistic because of the failure of religions to present us God as He is is the sum total of all stupidity. God's doing very well , thank you. Whether you ackowledge, recognize, know this or not.

I have many gay friends and I hate when people ridicule people for being gay. Why is it that it still has not been accepted after so many years?

My partner and I are discussing and planning to have children. I plan to have our first child and my partner will adopt him/her. Our church minister asked about last name and we came up with using both of our last names hyphened with my partners last name last. Any other ideas? I thought about creating a last name using our last names, but our lawyer stated that this would pose a problem.

1st off it's not a problem because I am 82% Dyke but he says he is 100% straight. The thing is I talked him into letting me pop him in the back door with my strap on and he REALLY got into it. Now he wants it all the time. I tell him this means he's a h0m0 and he gets all pissed off and goes home. I think he needs to find a man so he can figure it out. As long as I don't have to watch cause 2 gurlz is cool but 2 guys is a freak show

When my mom found out it was in an argument over me talking to my first bf that she didnt even know about. Well she went through all my stuff, computer files, room, books, journals, and even took my phone and broke it. Then she sent me to counseling and it helped her accept me more. But she knows i sneak around to see guys and stuff. But she doesnt want me to and she doesnt like me to have friends who support me. I mean i do and always will live my own life. I try and follow her rules and obey what she says to make it easier on myself. But the other night i was talking to a friend about one of my ex's and she over heard some info I guess cause that morning she was pissed off and then started ranting about me talking to 17-20 yr olds...and the guy is only 18 and still a senior in high school and i have talked to him for years now. I am not seeing a psychatrist after seeing 3 other counselors... They have all said she has the problem now me. I dont know what to do. PLEASE GIVE ADVICE!!

Okay next Wed Ive got a job interview. I got the interview through an agency. Im a lesbian, though not a sterotypical one, so its not obvious from looking at me!!
Should I mention to the agency or say anything at the job interview? I am not prepared to hide my sexuality - though I dont walk around with Pride flags on me, but if they ask me about my partner, Im not going to lie. I would rather not get the job then 3 months down the line find Im stuck with homophobes.
Ive researched the company and my would be boss is a Catholic (which doesnt generally go well with homosexuality!)
Any clues? Should I say something now, at the interview, or just keep my mouth closed???

I should mention that I am gay myself and live in a very very loving monogamous relationship with a man for 7 years now. My neighbor is married to a woman with 2 small kids and I know he's gay because I have caught him at local gay hangouts. He has no idea I have seen him. I have seen him making out and even going to places where I am fully aware guys go to have sex with other guys. Also, everytime his wife goes away, "his friend" comes by and stays there. I can't stand them, not because he's living a lie cause that's something he has to deal with himself, but because they are obnoxious. For starters, they told me once too bad you guys can't have kids and another time he mistook me for hired help because I'm latin an was working on my own lawn!

Is it a bonding thing because of similar orientation? Or is it a trust thing that has nothing to do with orientation? Do straights tend to befriend straights? Do bi's tend to befriend other bi's? Do gays/lesbians tend to befriend other gays/lesbians?
