why do you continue?

it may hurt because you may find it hard to trust the person you love, or your partner doesn't love you the way you love him/ her, its not equal in intensity.

Indeed. Love, once it's truly become that, isn't something you can flick on and off like a light switch. You might get angry at your beloved, you might not even like her/him for a while, but you'll still have that deep-seated attachment to her/him.

I can't stop loving my (straight) best friend (who doesn't know that I do), and quite frankly, I really don't want to stop either, d*mn the consequences to Hell. It's like the most all-consuming obsession. And the more I suffer, the more I feel I am proving my love for her.

Love is not kind- love is a sword that pierces your heart.

Well I personially never thought i would continue in a relationship if things weren't going right-But guess what? I am! If you truely love someone and they seem to love you it's very hard to let go,or it is for me right now!I am 41 and 4 years ago i fell inlove for the first time-i know i was never inlove before-cause' i have never felt this way about anyone! But for family issues she isn't as close to me-and man does it hurt-tears my heart out-but i love her so i'm still here.

It depends on what you are referring too. Do you continue to love someone even though they hurt you,, NO..... Especially intentionally...
Do you continue to believe in love even if you have been hurt... Yes.. Love is what makes the world go around... Its better to have loved in life and been hurt, than to die never have been loved.

Yes because love is endless and boundless. What hurts is my mind and how it views the universe and all it gives/takes

You move on, you redirect your focus onto something that makes you happy and gets you involved. You keep your friends close and do things with them. You get involved in clubs or organizations, you fill your time with postive influences.

FORGET THAT GUY!!! YOU'RE JUST BEING A BIG'OL DRAMA QUEEN/FAGHAG!
