I have this project and I have to do research on cultures and customs. But I'm just wondering if they mean the same thing..

And what does cultures and customs involve?

I would appreciate to know since when & what kind of reactions you did experience from your surroundings?

I am a fulltime barefooter, living in the centre of Europe and my life is very exposed, due to the jobs I am doing!
My personal experiences are mostly positive and not only regarding my family & friends, but also customers & officials, once they have noticed “it’s his lifestyle”! Most people I met don’t worry and simply don’t care. Some find it even cool and courageous!
So I like to know whether it’s just me, or if there are others with the same positive experience, or if you had a lot of unpleasant situations!

Mine was when Dorothy Collins pulled (rather, pushed the car) into a filling station and asked them to check the oil. When the attendant lifted the hood, there was no engine.

It's hard to have a conversation about a lot of things with my family and friends. They just don't get me or have diferrent points of view. But when I talk to lesbians they totally understand and I can really relate to them. That's why I prefer talking to them.

Not everyone knows about my sexuality,so I can't really talk about my love life or stuff relating to lesbians to my family or friends.

Sometimes I really disagree with them, and sometimes I get pissed talking to them. They just don't get me! Like how my mom and friends say lesbians are just confused and hasn't found the right guy. I object!!! Totally disagree!!! Not just that but so many other stuff I really disagree with.

So,what I'm trying to say is,I feel that (not all but some) some people don't understand lesbians. Or is it that we have diferrent points of view.(yeah,I think that's it)

Or is it just me?

See men can be blonde too.........!!!!
Blonde guy gets home early from work and hears strange noises coming from
the bedroom.
He rushes upstairs to find his wife naked on the bed, sweating and panting.
"What's up?" he says. "I'm having a heart attack," cries the woman.
He rushes downstairs to grab the phone, but just as he's dialling, his
4-year-old son comes up and says:
"Daddy! Daddy! Uncle Ted's hiding in your closet and he's got no clothes on!"
The guy slams the phone down and storms upstairs into the bedroom, past his
screaming wife and rips open the wardrobe door.
Sure enough, there is his brother, totally naked, cowering on the closet
floor.
"You rotten ba@@ard," says the husband, "my wife's having a heart attack
and you're running around naked scaring the kids!"

This is in response to a question asked a few days ago. And a further question/comment on a lot of the responses given.

Let me first of say that I believe that everyone has a right to have pride in their culture regardless of race or religion. I don't believe that anyone is better than anyone else due to race or creed.

Here's the question, with the same name that this one has so you can see where I'm coming from:

A lot of the answerers were saying that white people don't have a culture. They, obviously, were in the American mentality because they reffered to us "borrowing" (read: stolen) our culture from various other cultures from Europe and possibly other places.

Our, white Americans, ancestors were from Europe- obviously- but how can you say that we don't have a culture? How can you say we can't be proud of what we did throughout history?

Yes, the Caucasian race has done

Ok, I'm a 16 year old male, and last week I came out to my older brother (who is 20). He was very supportive and offered to come home for a week just to chilll with me (he is away at school). So then today, I decided I had enough of a security net (aka my brother) to come out to my mom (who is a PhD. Child psychologist.). I finally mustered up the courage, told her. She then gave me a disgusted look and then a huge smile and a hug, and then she said something to the effect of this: "You don't think I already knew that?! I'm so happy for you! and so on..."

Ok, considering she is has a PhD in psychology specializing in teens/children, it's pretty obvious that she has psychoanalyzed me to no end, I don't have a problem with it, and that would also explain how she knew. But where my problem lies is what to say to her. She (along with my dad and brother) are behind me 100%. How can I bring it up with her and thank her and my family?

we decided a few years back that instead of buying each other expensive gifts for christmas and birthdays, that we just give a token on the day, and once a year we buy ourselves a "luxury item". it works for us. some of the things we have bought are a really nice fish tank, a big screen tv, a good surround sound system, the computer, this year we are buying a gps for the truck.

I am a guy.
I am not interested at all in having a long term relationship/commitment with a guy. Sometime I just want to have a sexual experience with them and see what's it's like.
Other than that, I can see myself only in a commitment with a female.

I think this could be due to my child hood when I was 10 and 11 years old and sexually expirimented with a friend and liked it.

Apple Computer announced today that it has developed a computer chip that can store and play music in women's breast implants.

The iBreast will cost £499 to £599.

This is considered to be a major breakthrough because women are always complaining about men staring at their breasts and not listening to them.

& I have a very diverse set of people I hang out with. It seems like people think i'm trying to be black. I'm on our schools step-team...and have so many people who make fun of me for it because i'm the "only white girl."
I like to Step. Plain and simple.
To me I just hang out with people. But to others I hang out with the "gangstas"
The different groups of people I hang out with would never hang out with one another. I just hop from one to another....

.....idk if there's an exact answer to this..I guess i'm just wondering what other people think? I'm open minded so don't worry about offending me.

I'm a junior in highschool, and lately we have been talking about all the differnt scholarships that are available. The thing that is brought up most is the fact that there isn't a scholarship for being "white". Umm why should there be? I'm not racist, I'm actually African American and "white". I'm very proud of both my ethnicity's. So don't even go there. I would like everyones oppinion on "white" scholarships.
