Mine was when Dorothy Collins pulled (rather, pushed the car) into a filling station and asked them to check the oil. When the attendant lifted the hood, there was no engine.

We were just talking about this the other night! For years, our favorite was when a group of high school students had taken a vocational aptitude test and a fake counselor called each one in and told them they were best suited for some awful career. The reaction of the kids was priceless. We especially remembered one stunned boy who could not accept that he was destined for manual labor. "What?! No brain-work at all?!" Then years later, CC did this stunt again with a new group of kids, and the fake counselor was that boy! By then, he had grown up to be the comedian Richard Lewis. What a full circle!

My favourite was the sliced banana. remember that one.

They were stopping people in the streets asking them if they would like to try a new variety of banana which is grown already sliced into rings. This raised a few eyebrows over whether it could be done sooooo!!!

Sure enough when people peeled the banana it was already cut into slices!!! The looks on their faces was priceless and their comments of WOW how did they grow this was side splitting!!!

At the end of the show he showed how they did it. Along one side they put in a pin and moved it from side to side thus slicing the banana and continued it down the length the banana until it was all done.

I have never forgotton that because it was soooo clever, I wonder who actually thought of doing that???

They put up a sign that said "Backward Zone" on a sidewalk and people in on the stunt would turn around and walk backward. Other people would follow suite and walk backward through the Zone. One woman even pulled her baby buggy backward.

That was a great show.... I remember the furniture one, too. That woman didn't know if she was out of a job already or not !!

I loved the one in which a secretary was told to stay and answer the phone while her boss was out. Two men came in and said they were moving the furniture. She was on the phone the whole time they were removing all the furniture and office equipment. Soon she was standing there with only the phone, still talking to a customer, when one man came back and took the phone. She was standing alone in an empty office. The looks on her face thoughout this was priceless.

One of my favorites was when they had a amplifier rigged up on the counter in a diner. Someone would start eating their soup and you would hear this great big slurping sound come out of their mouths because of the amplifier. Not only did the person who was eating look around to see where the noise was coming from but the look on the peoples face sitting next to them was also hilarious .... hahahaha !!!!!

I loved that show also. i used to watch it with my Dad. I can remember the stunts you guys have said but I can't remember any off the top of my head. I did like it when they would pull jokes on the office people and leave them in a state of such confusion. It makes me laugh how gullible we are!

It has to be when Fannie Flagg literally drove her car through a "drive-thru bank" and, with her car in the building and among the debris of the smashed wall, she asked the secretary where she can make a deposit. The look of shock of those victims was priceless!

I liked the one where Allen Funt was talking to a little girl about Santa Claus and she looked at him and said I'm not A Christmas girl , I'm Jewish . He kept insisting on her telling him about Santa Claus and she was just so sweet and kept saying I'm not a Christmas girl.
