get mad at me or become really jugemental, because they say they would never approve a relationship between me and a white man and if I forget how most whites hate blacks. They also don't understand why would a nice looking black woman like me would be interested in a white man.
My fiancee is black, but I believe I can still apreciate a good looking white man when I see one. I was the airport last week coming from the Virgin Islands to Florida and a handsome white man was flirting and talking with me the whole time. My friend didn't appreciate it, because the dude was white. I don't think we should have these problems in 2007. What do you think?

All mankind came from stock that originated in Africa. That's a given fact. Therefore everyone, Caucasian, Negroid and Mongoloid deserves the designation "African" in front of their nationality, or no one does. Your thoughts?

im vietnamese. Ive noticed when english people say theyre "25% aristocrat" or have royal blood english people (usually working class) get offended and say they broke out of psycho ward or they are idiots. is it because they say theyre trying to say theyre better than them? well arent they. what have working class people ever done? they have labour which ruined the education system in the past, bring in immigrants, get drunk and vomit everywhere, grow up without married parents (bastards). ruined the british car industry through riots. while all that is being done the elite were doing all the best inventions and writings are the best and fittest soldiers and generally work alot harder making them superior. why be jealous?

(This is open only to intelligent discussions/explanations, and NOT for racially insensitive comments.)

Statistically, the US is comprised of 73.9% White citizens. The NBA is located in the US and is composed mostly of US citizens. However, we notice that the percentage of White Americans in the NBA is only 6%, compared to 75% African Americans & 19% foreigners.

Why this obvious and very noticeable discrepancy - 73.9% of White Americans comprise only 6% of the NBA?

Perhaps we should traces the levels basketball skill development. There proportion of White children that play at an early age seems representative of the US population. The proportion of Whites playing in high school seems representative also. However, in college the proportions seems to disfavor Whites and begin favoring African Americans. Beyond college the proportion heavily disfavors White Americans, where African Americans and foreigners are disproportionately greater compared to the US population.
Why is this?

My son had asked me what colour my hair was when I was young, I said Brown, the same as it is now, he looked at me oddly, and said "Your hair is Grey, not Brown" I had not been aware as to how insidious the Greying had been.

As most of you know I have Old English Sheepdogs, or Bobtails as they are also called.
Here's my description.

Nature who made you rough and grey and meek,

Reft you of dogdom's silent power to speak,

Cut off your tribal customary flag,

And left you with nothing you could wave or wag.

Yet, still unfair herself, she made you fair,

A bob-tailed beauty in a mass of hair.

With two dark eyes on which her mind she spent,

To make them tender, wise, and eloquent.

I never was a collecter of these kinds of things but if I were it would be creative 3-d dragonflies. I love them!!

I think my son will always remember my shortcuts, I could turn a 20 minute drive into 2 hours because I have no sense of direction and would try to find a quicker way to where we were going. This is of course before mapquest

I wouldn't put the word "oriental" in the same par as the "N" word but it actually is a very offensive term. Most Asians that grew up around other Asians know this, maybe in the suburbs it's different. Anyway just like to let people know.

I love breakfast toast. I have to have speciality bread (usually bought at the day old bread store). My favorite bread for toast is real sourdough or anything with nuts and/or seeds. And it has to have real butter to spread. I eat healthy spread on everything else-but leave my toast alone!

I see these movies from the 40's and 50's where a guy who is with the woman he loves feels obligated to relinquish her to a rude or obnoxious man, or just a competitor or someone the woman doesn't like. Why? How did this custom get started? Why is the woman obligated to dance with whoever taps her man on the shoulder? Where is her choice in the matter? I just don't understand the social beliefs that supported this custom. Would someone please explain it to me?

As a young woman of color, I have evaluated the accomplishments of minority leaders in the community. In most instances, I find the actions of these leaders to be one sided and in some cases, downright unjustified.

In the situation of the black stripper being raped by the white Duke athletes, community leaders thought it was a case of racism because the defense cut large holes into this young woman's story. When it came to light that the young woman was not raped, no one apologized and Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson disappeared as quickly as they'd come. What gives? Do you think that these leaders help or hinder the black community?

The Parliament has recently passed a bill making it mandatory for children to take care of their parents in their old age. Do you think it's right to intervene in family matters like this? Or was this step called for? What are your thoughts on this?

I actually live by THREE houses with nosy old people. One is not even old, there like middle aged! We all have history together, and its not very great (long story). Those two old people hate me. Since they always frown at us, I hate my neighbours back. (Yes, I said hate, who the hell cares if its a "strong word"). Not only old people, but I also live near crazy teens! They are so loud that you can even hear them at night! Everybody around me is driving me crazy! How do I stop the madness?! Isn't there anybody who has this type of experience?!

For my whole life, I've always felt like maybe I was supposed to be a girl. I kept wishing I was a girl, doing things like a girl...since I was young, I even had SEVERAL girl habits that my mom yelled at me for day in and day out. Today, I have even MORE girl habits, and I feel more like I'm supposed to be a girl now then ever. Online, I pretend to be a girl, and it makes me happy. Offline, when I hear my real name, look into the mirror and see my male face, or even get treated like a guy, I freak out and get mad...or depressed. Is this a sign of me being trans like I think it is?

I did try to tell my parents, and they just said "Get right with God, you'll be fine" which (naturally) took them 3 hours of yelling at me to say.
