For example, I would say that "In the Ghetto" and "Kentucky Rain" are vastly underrated, while "Hound Dog" is way too lame to have been a hit in the first place.

Thanks all!

My dad is now in a wheelchair, and I found out today that it just isn't as easy as it looks. I had to take him to the doctors and found that the ramps weren't cleared from the snow wide enough for the chair and I had to take him down a small hill and almost lost him. I want to make it easy on both of us.

Wee Hughie And His Girlfriend
Wee Hughie adored and loved his girlfriend, Lorraine, to whom he was engaged to be married. Wedding plans were well underway and he was looking forward to spending the rest of his lfe with Lorraine.

However, a beutiful young lady, called Clearly, came to work in his glen and they found that they got on together very well and as time went by, Wee Hughie realised that he was in love with Clearly and that the Love was reciprocated.

Being a gentleman he decided that as he had promised to marry Lorraine he would do so and steadily removed himself from his other relationship.

One day, he and Lorraine were walking along the banks of the River Tay. As they walked, Lorraine slipped and fell into the river and was swept away and drowned.

He stood on the bank for a few minutes feeling very sad before walking away singing happily.

And this is what he sang.

"I can see clearly now Lorraine has gone"

We used to do this, the kids and I. One year it would be a kitchen/cooking theme with cute little gadgets like a candy thermometer, spices, one of those tiny spice graters, cinnamon sticks, etc

Another year we did "art" with paintbrushes, a box of pastels, drawing pencils etc.

Or socks and scarves - its always fun because everyone is getting the same "theme" and its funny to see some of the socks being given as gifts - my daughter loves wild and crazy socks so its always fun shopping for her -- its just seems to bring another feeling of "cohesiveness" to xmas and no one is left floundering wondering what the heck to get as stocking stuffers --

I mean, thats prejudice. I can understand it if, say, a black person or someone said that, but why do WHITE people, especially non-Jews or non-gays, say that they hate Nazis and skinheads? I have friends who are skinheads and their goal is to make sure that whites and their children have secure futures and rights. Now to me, I dont see why I should hate them for that or what they believe in. I dont hate anybody for what they believe in (but Im a misanthrope, so I kinda hate everyone at least a bit in most cases). Aside from my skinhead/Nazi friends, I have friends that are Muslims, Christians, Blacks, Jews, Asians, and athiest/Satanists like myself (not devil worshippers, Satanists. Theres a difference). I know that violence tends to be a great tool to skinheads, but the ones I know are usually pretty smart and get things done politically a lot of the time.

So, I guess my overall question is, why hate the ones who want to help you?

An American entered a bar and stood beside a Scotsman.
After they had chatted for a while the Scot asked, "Where are you from?"
The American replied "I'm from the finest country in the world."
The Scot looked skeptical and replied "Are you? You have a damn funny accent for a Scotsman."

My little cousin is 13 years old. She has been dressing like a boy since she was like 8. We all thought it would be something she would grow out of but she has just gotten worse. She recently cut her hair off really short and she even changed her myspace profile to male. I don't get it because she says gays are gross and she would NEVER be that way. Is she just in denial?? Is there something I should do to help her? I can see that she is getting REALLY depressed and she talks about dying and how she doesn't even want to be here.
