It's ignorance (not to be confused with lack of intelligence). There are plenty of intelligent bigots. That and people are raised that way, which brings us back to ignorance. Also sometimes people will have a bad experience with members of another race and they conclude that "they all like that".
It can be over come though. My wife is from the deep south and grew up in the 60's and 70's and is not a racist. I don't think her mom is either.

they're scared of change. this guy, cesare, rants and raves about how we've been forced to do this and that, and how he's so proud to be white.
i know that deep down inside his little conscience, he's afraid of what the world might make out of him.
he's been seen as the enemy for his large amount of stupidity, arrogance, ignorance, and truth be told, whenever he rants and raves, i have no idea what the hell he's talking about.
you wanna know why people go crazy when a black person or anyone of color comes up in coversation, this guy is your answer.
they are just so upset that a nation once run by white men, is being overthrown and the united states is going back to their roots. being run by people of color, a huge melting pot, and they can't handle it.

"Unfortunately racism can exist in all races and cultures. Racists feel threatened by anyone who is from a different race or culture.

We are not born racist. Our views and beliefs develop as we grow up. If a child or young person grows up within a racist family, or has friends who are racist, they may believe that racism is normal and acceptable.

Prejudice of any kind is often based on ignorance and fear of anything unfamiliar."

i have had many experiences of racism and one of the BIG factor of racism is Fear and lack of knowledge they think that everything that is different to them it has to be bad and they don't want to learn anything about the other culture racism been with as for a very long time and it's going to stay like this for a very long time everyone is racis big or small part of it. it's human stupidity u have to ask your self if u really like all ppl whether black or white red or yellow rich or poor and then you will find the answer if you are racist I'm for example am not a racist of color and not a big racist but i have problem with rich posh ppl who think they are above everyone else that's my view and opinion so judge me as u like but I'm being honest!!

I believe that people are racist because they don't feel secure or know how to act around people of other color. It's ridiculous. They are people just like you or I. They are smart, loving and "normal". Some people just see a different color and that's all, when they should see the inside and nature instead.

Because people out of fear, anger or hatred or ignorance do not like differences in appearance , opinions, social background, religious affiliation, and color of skin because they build walls up in the guise of purity. They look at the appearances or the outside and not the content of character.
