get mad at me or become really jugemental, because they say they would never approve a relationship between me and a white man and if I forget how most whites hate blacks. They also don't understand why would a nice looking black woman like me would be interested in a white man.
My fiancee is black, but I believe I can still apreciate a good looking white man when I see one. I was the airport last week coming from the Virgin Islands to Florida and a handsome white man was flirting and talking with me the whole time. My friend didn't appreciate it, because the dude was white. I don't think we should have these problems in 2007. What do you think?

Arundhati Bakshi, I don't cheat on him, and that's not low class, I appreciate who appreciates me, there is no harm in that. I like to talk to people who are open-minded.

First, most whites do not hate blacks, from your statement one might surmise that most blacks hate whites, which I don't believe is true either. Remove the colour of skin and we are all the same race, the Human race. That being said- nothing wrong in admiring what you see as beauty/handsomeness in a fellow human being. I'm white but boy is Denzel Washington hot, Sydney Poitier too-now that man's got it all, looks, intelligence, class. You are correct we should not be having these problems in 2007. I say tell anyone that gives you a hard time that you don't like the way things are and that you are doing your part to change the world one little innocent, harmless flirtation at a time.

Your friends & cousins are racist. If I see a good looking man I will look and I will flirt. I don't care what color his skin is. I'm married but I appreciate the beauty in all men and I enjoy flirtation. My husband feels the same way. He enjoys beautiful women and he flirts with them as well. You're right, in 2007, we shouldn't have these problems. Unfortunately, some of your friends and family haven't progressed yet. They're limiting themselves. Good luck. 2D

I'm white and I've dated interracially, unfortunately almost all the the prejudice and rudeness came from the black community; leading me to believe (most unfortunately) that black folks are more prejudiced towards whites than whites are towards blacks.
Your friends are narrow minded bigots.

There is nothing wrong with finding a white man attractive, but you really shouldn't be disrespecting your fiance by flirting with other men, whatever their colour. That's kind of low classed.
Edit: Sorry I disagree. If your man would ogle other women in front of you, I am sure you wouldn't appreciate it. Talking and flirting aren't the same. Sorry.

Well maybe they dont like it cause u have a man. But if they dont like it cause you think white guys are attractive then thats racist and wrong. If my friends had a problem cause of my wife being Black then they would no longer be my friends. I have gotten looks from people because of my wife when we are out but thats cause she is soooo sexy ;-) and they are hatin

I thinkest thou shalt love any color Man that thou desires.
Shouldest thy racist black friend becometh upset because White Men have found thine to be more delightful/ Appealing in the eyes and not her?
Perhaps thy friend is a little jealous of thee?

Don't listen to them, they are racist. If you are attracted to someone, that is YOUR business! I certainly would not allow any of my friends or family (or anyone for that matter)tell me I was not allowed to be attracted to a black man! They need to wise up and get a life! And by the way, these people are NOT your friends if they judge you on anything let alone who YOU are attracted to!

I agree with you, we shouldn't be dealing with such racist views in 2007, but sadly we are.
I think there is nothing wrong with you appreciating white men. Those friends of yours are narrow minded and racist, but don't let them control your life. It's not their role to "approve" of your relationships or your taste.
Race shouldn't be such a big deal.
