I have several, but Janet Evanovich is one of my all time favorites. Her Stephanie Plum series is hysterical. The main character, Stephanie is a bounty hunter in Trenton, NJ. She gets herself into some amazing situations! The author weaves the stories around Stephanie and her family and friends so well that you almost wish you were part of them.
I have never been disappointed with any of the books. There are 13 to date.

I pick one author at a time and read through all of their books and then when I find another I do the same thing. My first favorite was Alistar MacLean (Guns of Navarone) whom I started reading in the 6th grade.
Others included Irving Wallace, James Michener, and more recently John Grissom. Lately all reading has been school related so haven't noveled in a while. Wally's author sounds like my type so I will have to give him a try.

Michener --his stories start back with the dinosaur (and earlier) and come up to present day.

Irving Wallace -- he has some pretty unique politically centered ideas

Erskin Caldwell -- some pretty earthy tales of poor Southern families in the 20-30's

Steinbeck -- dustbowl imagery

Some of the Authors that filled in the politics of the "Hippie" era;
Rand, Capote, Huxley, Wells and the like

Just at the moment, when a little creative insanity and a good laugh would be a treat...Christopher Moore, and Terry Prachett.

There's nothing like a few zombies and a tour of Discworld with Death to put Christmas stress in perspective...

Matthew Reilly. In my opinion and in George Clooney's opinion, Mr. Reilly is the greatest thriller writer on the planet today. Once you read any of his books, you will want to read them all. And if you start with ICE STATION you won't put it down until you finish it. It is like a movie with no pause button and takes off from the third paragraph. I checked. This guy will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat until the book is finished. While I like everything he has written, I really like his book TEMPLE!!!

Realizing Steinbeck's fame for his award-winning novels, once I saw Grapes of Wrath with Henry Fonda's eyes, I only followed Steinbeck's career. The intensity of truth in accurate, gut-wrenching description was too much pain for me. Then his wife and colleague gathered copies of his letters to friends, from his twenties to his death, publishing it as Steinbeck: A Life in Letters. We learn the threats he received after divulging what indecencies existed for the Dust Bowl evacuees. We learn he hated personal appearances so that when he won the Nobel -- or was it the Pulitzer!? -- he threw speech beginning after beginning crumpled and gave up, calling Adlai Stevenson for help. We learn how he hated a tuxedo had to be bought for the occasion. But most impressive, we're privy to the brillliance of his mind, the decisions he made as he went through life.

I also like James Patterson the Alex Cross series, I have read all of Janet Evanovich, J.D. Robb, Sarah Strohmeyer. I read almost anything I can get my hands on I love to read. Hey sister:)
Praise the Lord for a new day and a fresh start:)

I really appreciate the writings of our brother in the Lord.. Watchman Nee.. He was a gift to the Body and I truly thank the Lord for his simplicity and genuine love for all God's children.
He was not just an author but was active in labouring in the church all throughout mainland China. He was very instrumental in shepherding another amazing author called Witness Lee. How blessed we are today to have the books of these brothers available freely online for our growth and transformation in the Christian life.

I'll leave you the site sister

ENJOY!

In Christ
