After answering questions about flying and a few other things, I got to thinking....

I have become much more trepidatious about several things as I've become older.

Is it because I am more cognizant of my own mortality? - or is it because I no longer have 'blind trust' since I now realize how very dangerous a lot of pursuits are? - or a combination of both?

I once ran up to a bunch of people viewing the overlook at the Grand Canyon with two of my friends and jumped right off the edge. My friends did too. Everyone was screaming. I laughed all the way down to more friends waiting below. That was the only parachute jump I actually enjoyed!

I used to fear getting older, but now I know that these are the best years of my life in ways that I could not understand when I was younger. I have a much richer life than ever and I'm happy to be 54.

ok so im not trying to be mean. i mean i have friends who are it but why are people like that? why do they find it neccesary to look at all of the bad things in life and like death and cutting themselves? is it just like attention seeking or trying to be "cool"? or do they really think that way? so why do they act like this?

Is there some reason why the cell phone manufacturers can't take the hint and create larger cell phones, with louder ring tones, bigger keypads for easier texting (yeah, I text!). I have arthritis, and I hate the earpiece on my phone (it's flat) and hard to hear out of.

We need some basics, no video stuff, just a good solid phone for all of us!

My day has been really boring because we have had no fuel to sell (because of the fire at the oil refinery in Essex) We have had no diesel since saturday and no unleaded since Monday. We have had to stay open because we have a convenience shop. Luckily, I was rushed off my feet at one point because I had 2 customers together. This rather saved the day! Lol!
