hmmm . . . I would maybe agree if it weren't for the fact that I have known many homosexuals that still have children. It is quite an instinct!

Natures way of controlling population is far more cruel than the occasional birth of a homosexual. If you look to the past with other species that have dealt with over-population you will see the result is usually famine, desease, and exhausting the local resources.

I have a 14 yr old brother, and I can say that wisdom can come from any age. Don't let your age deter you from thinking that your ideas have merit! I have met plenty of people that are "adults" who have the mind of a child. The fact that you are pondering these subjects speaks volumes.

No, things like cancer, AIDS, sickle cell anemia, ebola, viruses, accidents, miscarriages are meant to keep our species strong. Unfortunately, the fundies think that EVERYONE must be saved, even the ones with poor genetic traits. The people that would have been food for other creatures ten thousand years ago get to live "normal" lives and pass on their defects to another generation.

We are breeding more weakness into ourselves this way. When I grew up NO ONE died from the flu. It was just a crappy cold that made you stay home for a week.

No flu shot for me, thanks. I don't care how much you INSIST I need one, I haven't had the flu in ten years, and even then I was over it in three days! My body is strong and my white cells know how to kick butt and take names!

So some disease will take most of the weakened population out one of these years, but homosexuality won't have anything to do with it.

Ive always thought of it in that way I was gonna ask this question but never got around to it. I totally agree with the population theory.

yes! i think about that all the time, it makes so much sense and it's weird how evolution does things to help our survival and from that stand point homosexuality is such a rational thing that has been blown way out of proportion by human societies.

In a way it sort of makes you think! I don't want to offend anyone but I think it's true. Like why do we have penises and vagina's FOR REPRODUCTION! Maybe that's why alot of people have a hard time accepting homosexuality in theirselves and others!

I'm 15!

I think it's a good way of thinking about it. If the whole world was straight, there wouldn't be anymore room. The earth would be extremely full, and it would create major chaos in so many different ways.

It is an interesting theory. However why then when the world was less over crowded was homosexuality still occurring? Why would endangered species still have homosexual pairings?

I keep telling my mom, " I'm not wasting my potential, I'm just doing my bit for zero population growth.." She still doesn't laugh, oh well...
