the people around you? Where they screamed or something?
I once ran up to a bunch of people viewing the overlook at the Grand Canyon with two of my friends and jumped right off the edge. My friends did too. Everyone was screaming. I laughed all the way down to more friends waiting below. That was the only parachute jump I actually enjoyed!

I did this with my friends in 1970 while I was on leave from the service. There were no laws against it at the time.

Nothing that spectacular. Wow, did you land in the river? I did conspire with my sister & cousin to set off a firecracker at the back door where we worked to scare a coworker that used to sneak out to have an afternoon delight w/ her boyfriend(she was married too) behind the barn. When it blew, she nearly had a heart attack and we never got found out, but I think the boss always knew it was us but it was such sweet justice that nothing was ever said.

That beats mine by a LONG shot. I mentioned it on here before, we lived near mountains. When we'd come down from the mountain, we'd get to a certain mile marker, turn the motor off and see who could coast the farthest. No power steering, hard to work the brakes and steering. I'd usually win from not using the brakes around corners. You could hear the tires squealing. When the car would finally stop, we'd usually make fun of the male cousins and friends who screamed during the ride. Mocking in an over exaggerated voice, "Slow down Temajin, you're going too faaaaaaaast, I'm gonna tell your daaaad, we're gonna craaaaaaash, boo hoo."

LOL! Parachuting is not my cup of tea, Wally, but I have taken many risks with my old travel buddy in foreign lands up to the early 90's that she and I laugh about today. We both say our guardian angels HAD to riding with us as we thumbed our noses in the face of danger! MUST say we had great times!

Even now I often travel alone, rent cars and go traveling to seek out new adventures when I travel. Yes, I use some common sense but I enjoy not being fearful of the unknown.

Only flying is still my nemisis! LOL

Since it's been about 30yrs ago and I was just there and not the actual culprit, in the days before caller ID , we called in a bombscare to Mickey D's and then found out, the fire trucks and police were dispatched and the place evacuated. After all these years, I guess confession is a good thing besides, it wasn't in my hom town!

You are so funny, that my mind is drawing a blank on my adventures. I did 120 mph on the 405 Freeway once. I was driving my parents brand new 1964 Pontiac Le Manns. My girlfriend had a 12:00 AM curfew and her father wore a belt. I was laughing, she was worried she wouldn't make it home at all.

Yep, found a low-enough coupling between the cars of a still train, put my foot up on it, and jumped across to the other side, my friends with dropped jaws. [Dropped jaws count?]The two men couldn't let a woman outdo them, so they came next. The last was a petrified woman, who took too long getting up the courage, so as she slowly balanced on the coupling and jumped to join us, the train lurched, missing her by one inch. I saw that inch. I'm not exaggerating. Fear lost her, her balance, and she sat on the broken glass I'd left on the rail to mark our path back up the bank, not expecting a train that late at night. Her ex picked glass shards out of her jeaned fanny before we left. We were all around 30 at the time.

That sure would have freaked me out, that's one big azz hole:!) hahahaha
I hopped a train once, that's harder to do than people think, and dangerious as well. I rode it down the tracks for a little while, then jumped off. You have to be pretty strong to pull yourself up by your arms while running alone side a train!!
That's one that I'll never have to worry about again

Two loops in a row, really stupid, pulled out of the last one about 1000 feet above the ground - saw some people lying in the dirt with their arms over their heads - yah that was dumb.

Then there was the time I dove at a fisherman, I thought it was my friend, he was standing up casting in his boat, and he fell overboard. I really did think it was my friend Bill.

Because of the comments I am going to get "he WAS wearing a life jacket".

Shame I cant fly anymore because of my injuries.

I've never been that daring! The last time I scared people it was over my health, and I promised not to do that again. I wish I had thought of your trick, though. I might have had the nerve in the '70's.
