How about, "Yes I am, and proud of it. Do you have a problem with that?" Then if they start spouting anti-gay rhetoric, "I'm sorry your small mind can only hold bigoted views".

Punch them in the face!!!
lol just kidding!!
But seriously, do you have a problem with being gay? I would say to ignore it and if it gets to the point where u cant ignore it anymore, always remember that u have to love yourself and you have to know when you make the decision to become interested in the same sex name calling come with the package. Always know that there are also going to have someone talking bad about you gay, straight, skinny, fat, white or black. It is called ignorance and it seems as if a lot of people are suffering of it!! I hope it helps!

Thank God if GAY is what they say. Even straight guys are "gay and carefree" sometimes. That's a good thing.
When I was in school, gay was too nice a name for queers. Absolutely no one would have been that polite to homosexuals!
Return good for evil. Say "You can't make me sad".
The best come-back I ever heard was, "Do you have a sister? I'll prove I'm not queer with her!"

Well if it was me id say any of the following
- Atleast im honest, you just can't admit it
- Whats wrong with it any way?
- didnt gay mean happy?
- Grow up
- Your bf/gf (depending on wether they r a boy - bf then- or girl -gf then- wasnt complaining
(bf meaning boyfriend and gf meaning girlfriend)
Or you could just say something that will make them feel they have done wrong like if they said something racist and you say Thats racist they would badly regret it. Just do the same for this but a bit more suitable!

your ugly? or how about ....your so smart and powerful. Man, I can only hope to be as big and cool as you.
I dunno, people like that are ignorant anyway.Maybe the best reply is to turn away and write that person off. If your with a friend, look at them and start laughing and just ignore the person who might be gay themselves. Tough world for anyone who is looked upon as different. The person who made the remark has issues themselves, and wouldn't it be funny if they came out? hope you know what I mean and good luck.

Just look at them and say "you don't know me and you accosted me, a perfect stranger,on the street merely to insult me and you say I'm queer" That should shut them up until they figure out what you mean, and it'll give you time to run away.

I see your point, if any of your comebacks sounds remotly gay homosexual ect. then the person joking with you will change you sentence to sound like you are more gay, say "Im not the one touching other mens butts," thats the best i can do

You know what I found out, when you act like it doesn't bother you or you could careless. The insulter becomes powerless, when it doesn't seem to bother you, and they will stop, because the joy of it all is to see you response in their favor, and it will continue. Next time someone insults you, hump up in your shoulders, like of well. Treat it like a compliment not and insult. Because misery loves company.

I don't know where you are but I'm in the States...
I'm straight and kinda bi-curious, too but generally very open-minded and respectful to people...
IF I were gay and if people were to actually make fun of me for that, I'd say to them,
"This is AMERICA, not Iran or Saudi Arabia."

If someone called me gay, I would just be like "Yeah, I am pretty happy! Glad you can tell!" or something along the lines of that =]
