I believe that sexuality is just another human trait... equal to race, religion, height, gender, weight, hair colour, eye colour, etc...
However... A friend of mine says that sexuality is different than the others because sexuality hinders gay people in their everyday lives...
I say that gays contribute to this 'hindrance' by making a big deal out of it...
Homosexuals would like for sexuality to be just like all of the other things I named...
Yet they obviously don't believe it themselves.
If they thought that sexuality was like the rest, then they wouldn't have parades and all kinds of organizations and alliances...
I dunno...
I'm gay myself... But I think that it's often blown far out of proportion... by both gays and straights alike...

By Americans I don't mean just white people. "Americans" includes anyone that is a citizen of the USA regardless of their ethnicity.

Hi,

I am married and have a child.
I have strong gay feelings. I searched internet to know if gayness is in harmones or it could come accidentally or by any other circumstances.
I can still remember very clearly, when I was a child of 5-7 years old, i use to think to make love with a male and that feeling is still with me up to now when I am 34 and my feelings became more gay as I grew up and never stopped.
I hate my gay feelings and always wanted to get rid of it but couldn't !! I often asked myself where did these feelings come from ????? then I can find only one answer, "I am GAY by birth" as I can still remember my gay feelings for the first time when I was 5-7, when I was 8, 9, 10 and then throught out my whole life up to now. If it is not by birth, how comes I was a gay when I was just 5-7 years old when a child have no sense of sexuality??

Your answer may help me to sort myself out, Thanks

I'm sorry! I just HAD to ask.

Senior Citizens on their best behaviour...

I have this gem saved in 'My Favouries' on my computer, and if I feel a little 'down' with things not going right, well I just look and see how the other half are living, and I feel a whole lot better.

THIS is what I want to be doing when Im their age...

there is this guy who is very sweet to me all the time. and awlays says hello and goes out of his way to be nice. he also seems interested in things i own. he also makes eye contact and is just all around very nice. he works at this place i frequent. i always catch him staring at me. now, is it nice customer service? or, if he interested in me? he doesn't seem to do this with other people.

i can never figure people out and based off his gestures with me - what does this say?

I'm 19 and I'm a girl. I feel very confused. I've gone through periods of time when I was attracted to both women and men. Then times when it was only men. I also go through days when I feel very feminine and others when I feel masculine. But most days, I feel neither extremely feminine nor masculine...just in between. I'm very self conscious of how I walk and talk...I try to appear as feminine as I can but it's hard sometimes.

What's wrong with me? Why am I like this?

I was discussing it with a gay male friend earlier today--a friend said that she liked my shoes and he replied, "I made her by them, aren't they fabulous?"

You know, every time I've ever used the word fabulous, people look at me weird. Why aren't lesbians allowed to say fabulous, lol? And are their any primarily lesbian words? If so... I haven't heard them.

: )

It's one thing to have strong beliefs and to stand up for what you believe in. It's another thing to expect everyone else to believe the way you do and treat those who don't like they're stupid, ignorant, close minded, bigoted etc. That goes for both sides of the issue.

Many people try to polarize the issue to make it look like everyone either supports homosexuality or they hate the people who do it. That's simply not the case. Most people who oppose homosexuality do not hate or fear those who do it. They simply dissagree with the behavior for religious or moral reasons.

For some people, Having homosexual thoughts, feeling and desires may not be a choice, but engaging in homosexual relationships or homosexual intercourse is.

If people want to believe that those behaviors are right and want to stand up for them they should have that right. Likewise, if people want to believer those behaviors are wrong they should have an equal right to stand up.

I see this question at least ten times a week here in different forms, and frankly I'm sick of it, so with a little inspiration from other posters - especially the 'femtroll' kind - I want to ask it in a completely different way.

If being gay really is a choice, then when will the straight women who think so finally realize the part they played in having guys make that choice in the first place? After all, a choice isn't something you make unless you're forced to, or unless you have a limited range of options. And if being gay is a "choice" with so many "good, Krischun women" out there, why would anybody choose it...unless the alternative were undesirable for some reason? (Looking forward to a "flock of trolls" on this one...)
