I've tried to improve my appearance a bit by losing some weight and (through laziness) letting my hair grow longer than the usual cropped look.

People who are patient and wait for something they would really like to have/do one day doesn't come to them. They never get what they were so patient about and if they were so good at waiting upon until whatever it was/is that happened/happens.

Okay, I've posted a couple of times, on how bad this b itch is. I haven't talk to this person in 5 years! We haven't said more than 2 words to each other! Well atleast I haven't mainly because he's a negative person, that makes everybody around him life a living hell! Yesterday, He told my mom that he was looking for our dogs( 2 dogs), with a belt intending to hit the hell out of them. He then got his evil hand on them, and threw them out side, when I came home, I saw that they we're hot and hungry, so I let the poor things in. This devil comes in my room, and starts yelling at me, remember we don't even talk to each other, he's calling me a *****, and everything, I swear I was about to start swinging, we've fought before! Than he gets his hands on them, hits them and put him out again, with no food might I add. Than my mom lets them inside, to go to sleep with her, and at 3 A.M, he goes to her room, and start yelling at her, calling her a *****, and threathing her! What can we do???

I just got hired (yahoo!) to work for a local special recreations program. The program is designed for students who are disabled in some way to become productive members of the community through learning basic life skills. I do not know what types of disabilities my students have, but will be assisting with planning and executing activities for the students.

So my question is if anyone has suggestions for their favorite activities that they have used in this situation. If you can also give me some ideas on activities that are NOT good for specific conditions (autism for example), please feel free to let me know about this too.

Ok, yeah, I have larger lips. Yet, people can't seem to comprehend that I can't help it that I have big lips. It's like when they look at my lips they get really annoyed. Like I'm doing it on purpose. Just please explain to me why people think my lips are annoying!! And yes, I have been personally told my lips are annoying. Yet, they didn't explain why. Some people mock my lips after I annoy them when I talk to them, and some just point out say " you have really big lips", when I am annoying them.

no i just had to ask this question becuase i met this black man a few days ago who told me about his life in russia he was a university proffesser who came from Nigeria. he told me just to ensure his safety from racist groups he never took public transit ,he never stayed out of home after 9 o'clock and although he was married to a russian woman they could never go out in stores together or anywhere for that fact otherwise they ould have been subject to verbal abuses or even worser things.
so what do african americans that claim to suffer racism think about that?

Why homosexuals claim to be supportive of each other and unified but I often see the direct opposite...

I often see us pick each other part and claim to be better than or more knowledgeable than our fellow homosexuals..as if somehow being specially enlightened...

anyhow, I think it's stupid and I'm wondering if anyone else observes this...

also, am I the only one who thinks that the GLBT community is sometimes over dramatically sensitive and offended by some really petty things...

fail to realize how much better off they are than 90% of the world?

For example, a person will post on here that they are contemplating suicide because they are not popular, and they feel they should not live - but fail to realize that there are people in Darfour, for example, who clearly have horrible conditions, but WANT to live, they are not suicidal, and they are in horrible living conditions, and have none of the luxuires that ANYONE on YA has - why do they fail to make that simple comparison before spouting?

I think that if you love a person it doesn't matter what race he is, same or different race. That's why i say and it seems people don't agree. I have dated interracially before, but i also would date someone Hispanic. Doesn't personality matter more than race?

Just wondering what stereotypes people honestly believed about other cultures are races... most have a few whether they have ever vocalized them or not. Like some people believe all asians are smart... I don't but some do... some people believe all black people can dance... and well they can't... there are some that aren't so positive that people believe as well... so what are yours... I mean no one here knows you so let it out. I've always wondered. There are even some about your own ethnicity you might think true... I only ask because I think they are at the root of racism, that and a some other things that would take a term paper to asses, and maybe through dialog we can laugh them off and debunk them for some people.
