Can 2 people with Asperger's Syndrome produce a child that does not have it at all?

ok I guess I should have had said sex instead of mating. However sex does not always result in producing a child. Should I have used procreate instead? Where are the top 5 places in the country dealing with computers or what ever that was about? Is Silicon Valley, Ca one of them?

Maybe the child will have some symptoms but not all of it. I think they are doing more testing and are trying to figure out if the child will have it when its in utero.

There are no known genetic markers that have been linked to Asperger's syndrome. Research is still under way.

Since no one knows why people get Aspergers, no one knows that answer.

But since it seems that many people in five areas of the country where computer technology is one of the major fields of endeavors is where aspergers is also most prominent - it appears there could be a connection when a geeky woman marries a geeky man they have a aspergers child.

Its Possible but unlikely. If both parents have Asperger's It's most likely the gene will pass to the child. Asperger's is a form of Autism most with it are functionally very intelligent but lack the ability to develop good social interpersonal skills.

They can, yes. However they can also have a child with Asperger's. I think they don't yet know how high the odds are. Then again, if the kid does have it, s/he would have understandig parents.

"mating"?

You probably did not mean it that way , but it does come across as if people with aspergers' syndrome are animals (we usually use the work "mating" for animals and "have sex" with human)

Just a thought for next time you ask a question - no offense taken or directed at you.
Cheers

not so sure but there have been a recent study in genetics that people with autism have a missing link in their DNAs. so most probably, they won't produce offsprings with normal genetic make-up
