Riding with the Patriot Guard Riders, whether it's a funeral of a fallen military man/woman, a welcome home from Iraq/Afghanistan, or a farewell to a troop going 'over there'.
Needless to say, my favorite missions are those when we welcome home one of our soldiers/sailors/airman/Marines...or 200 like those coming home to Ft. Lee on 9/17/07.
Right along with that is teaching my 3rd/4h grade Bible study classes (no crafts) , as I have since 1988 (just finished DINOSAURS IN THE BIBLE today...after 3 weeks!).

I'm with you all the way. I call myself a frustrated archeologist and a history nut. I would just love to be out on a dig somewhere unearthing the past.
I get a real buzz out of knowing someone else touched this or walked here 1000s of yrs ago. Gives me goosebumps.
You go girl

I, too, enjoy junkyard archeology. When I move to my new apartment, I'm gonna have a ball decorating.
Another thing I love to do is bake, can and preserve. When I do this, friends I haven't seen for six months show up at my door. Too bad I have no place for a garden, I loved that, too.
I love to read and continually learn.
There are just too many activities I love to do. I could go on all day.

Well I live on 2 acres of land with my parents now. Their favorite pass time was working in the garden and keeping the weeds out of it. They are no longer able to do this, so I have been doing it for them. That is a full time job keeping the weeds out of a big garden. I love clearing the land and trying to keep it clear. Mom does "try" to help when she can. So between my own job working at the local school, I work here at home trying to keep the weeds out of here. I enjoy doing both jobs.

Why, thank you for asking. You're new to me, so I guess I'm also new to you and you didn't know that I'm an avid duckpin bowler (also a voracious reader).
In the winter season, we bowl three nights a week, and I've joined the women's pro tour, which visits a different city each month for a weekend tournament. (There are eight cities on the tour schedule.)
FYI, there has never been a perfect game rolled in duckpins.

I too am fascinated by cultures. Hours speed by when I am searching for unusual rocks. My Saturday mornings are spent going to upscale yard sales where practically brand new items are sold for almost nothing (some are new with tags still on them). Whether I purchase anything or not, I love looking.

Snorkeling in the tropics, seeing all the beautiful fish.
I miss it so bad.
Right now my husband and I are in New Orleans, been here since the storm. I am so ready to get out of here.
Now this next one may sound strange to you, but here goes. I've taken up fruit and vegetable carving. I really enjoy it.
Check out this to get the general idea.

My passion is creating things with my hands. I enjoy crocheting, sewing ,knitting and various crafts. Gardening is also a form of creating although I get help from Mother Nature.

I delight in photography, mostly in the country or my own backyard, some place where there are no other humans.
I also take great delight in baking from scratch, and flower gardening. Hours go by in mere minutes.
