Yeah, and I can't imagine white american sports fans en masse doing monkey chants and throwing bananas at black atheletes as is done in Spain and Italy. It's no excuse for racism in america, but I have to agree with your point that many of us (black americans) have no idea how much worse things are in other countries.
UPDATE: To the uniformed:

You are proper. I too have traveled the sector and feature white European spouse and children. European whites are a lot more bigoted than American whites. I chortle every time I listen Europeans criticize the US approximately racism. Let's see Germany, Sweden, France, UK or every other European nation select a black chief! LOL, it's going to be many years if it ever occurs! And you're correct approximately Australia, they're fairly dangerous. Just ask an Aborigine. In all my travels, I determined India to be probably the most bigoted nation. This is by and large on account that of the Caste System. Next worse on my record is China, then Japan. Most of Asia is lovely dangerous and one hundred instances worse than the US, and we undoubtedly have our disorders. Suffice to mention, Americans have to journey extra. Most haven't any inspiration how different cultures view race and ethnicity.

Hmmm...I lived in London for a summer and traveled to France, Italy and Germany. I think racism exists there, however it is not as pervasive as in America with white people here. Ironically, it is non-black people in other parts of the world, who come up to ME and say that white Americans are the most racist. I'm not saying this is true, but other "white" people in the world sometimes look down on white americans. At least that has been some of my experiences in my travels. I've been to South Africa, Brazil, Puerto Rico, western Europe and China.

That's Russia and Ukraine which are not considered a part of good relations with Europe and the European union. Holland, Amsterdam, Germany, Norway, and all the others are great to blacks. But Yes Russian people are very racist against anybody non Russian

Moscow is notorious for being hostile towards people of color. Not just blacks, but people from the Caucusus and others. A slew of neo-nazi type groups came to existence after the fall of the USSR. For blacks (American and non-American) some parts of Europe are more welcoming than others. Just like the States.

Okay if that's true he's an idiot for moving to Russia. He was pretty much asking for it if he knew they acted that way yet moved there anyway. I doubt it's true though.

I'm afraid of all other races in this country. I look behind my back every minute, been stabbed and mugged so many times, 6 to be exact. And white collar crime against me...oh wow, i've lost track, even more insidious.
