Money you pay to the owner of an abode in which you are living, but don;t own yourself. You become the lessee.

Rent a car, You pay for the 'hire' of a car.

Or, you 'rent' something you own,property,machinery,house/unit to other people. You become the lessor.

Tear in a garment.

"Rent their garments" OT use of wording for tearing your clothes .

Rent means what we did in paying for a place to live, before we bought a home. We still have to pay someone else, but now those pmts will end one day.

It means the freedom to do what I want when I want and not be tied down with a mortgage or high taxes. Someday my husband and I will get a condo but that is not priority now. Priority is enjoying life and living in the now and blessing and helping others.

paint the walls,repair the roof,
fix the electricity or furnace,
have homeowner's insurance,
take care of the yard,put on
a new roof, pay property taxes,
the owner does all that, plus
pays a 30-yr mortgage at
9.0% interest.

well unfortunately it is a way to waste your money giving it to someone else, to live in there place. At my age I never thought I would be doing that again..but I guess thats the price I have to pay for leaving a jerk... Guess it's not such a waste after all..
