There's a new website that I just found that has hundreds of traditions. You can get several great ideas for family traditions. The website is called Cafe Traditions, http://www.cafetraditions.com

My favorite tradition that I found on the site that I would like to introduce into my own family is the idea of celebrating a special cultural dinner every few months. You learn about a new culture and new food. It's great for both kids and adults too!

We always have cinnamon bread with our big family spaghetti dinners. Once my sister was asked to bring the bread to a family dinner, she didn't know what the main meal was going to be. When she went to get the bread, she saw cinnamon bread and thought it looked really good, so she bought three loaves of it. The meal that night was spaghetti, and everyone laughed about having to eat cinnamon bread with our spaghetti! That was over 30 years ago. Now it's a well established tradition.
