I plan to start a support group in my local area for lesbians living with mood disorders (bipolar, borderline, depression, anxiety & panic, etc.). Can't think of a good catchy name for it. I want it to convey the nature of the group, but not be in any way offensive. BTW, our area just so happens to be known locally as "the Triangle."

All of my friends are cool with me being gay. The only problem is that some of them have some opinions about how I "chose" to be gay and they suggest just talking to guys but sleeping with girls. I tried to explain the whole thing, but there's no changing their minds. Should I just stop talking to these friends?

see, I've been going out, but not really seriously dating, this really hot guy and we ended up having sex last night after a few drinks. And it was great and everything, but he's really kinky and I've never had a partner who was into kink and stuff. I mean this guy wanted me to tie him up, but I couldn't find anything...
Any ideas?

I was raised to always pick up the check, I turned out gay, but that's a different story. I just can't help myself, he likes to eat out a lot, and always wants to pay, but I always have to take the check away from him, or tell the waiter in advance to give it to me. He's an engineer, I'm a teacher. On one hand, it's very costly for me to keep paying for eating out every night. On the other hand, he makes more money than me and always wants to pay.

I just don't know how can I get over myself and let him pay or at least be confortable going deutch.

I may sound dumb, but I like feeling in the man in the relationship, maybe that's why I just can't do it.

How can I be confortable with myself letting him pay?

My neighbors are from Afghanistan, and we've always gotten along well. We share carpooling duty, and on of their young sons frequently comes to our home to play games. Today their mom picked everyone up and walked my daughter to our front door with her three-year-old twin boys. After chatting for a moment, I reached down and touseled the hair of one of the twins, and said, "Hi, cutie." As soon as I did, the other twin quickly put his hands up to cover the top of his own head. I laughed, thinking he was just being shy, but then he backed away and started toward home, saying over and over something in their language I couldn't understand. It was then that I remembered they are Muslim, and I think I now recall something about it being bad to touch the top of their heads. Does anyone know for certain about this? His mom brushed it off and chuckled when I said I was sorry, but I'm still wondering.

It's pathetic, really. I was on a particular website today and just surfing the different posts that people put up; it's obvious that despite all the efforts being done to do away with racial prejudice, some people are still narrowminded and ignorant. Why is it that some people harbor so much hate within themselves for a particular race? Sometimes within their own race? I'm really interested in people's responses....

Do we really have to explain ourselves to people who do not understand us and are closed minded? I wish I didn't have to waste my time on explaining myself to ignorant people. Do you all feel the same?

I've heard about those sex change operations, and all that transsexual stuff. Do they actually hack it off or something, or do they do something to make the penis into a vagina? I was listening to a classical music CD, and the artist was "Wendy Carlos", who used to be "Juan" (I looked it up). It's a "girl" now. Did Juan/Wendy get it's penis hacked off? It seems like such a final decision, and the people who want those surgeries obviously aren't of sound mind. My other question is: Should these surgeries be made illegal? This is pretty wierd stuff.

Ok so i have a roommate and we get along really good and talk about alot of things but she is to needy and dependent, am just her roommate do i really need to be there and does she have to come tell me everything about anything every sec? We also work together and she always come to ask me for cigs about 3 or 4 maybe more times a day and i dont know what to tell her, and i can't maintain my habbits and her a** aswell, now am getting to the point that i try to get home late so she can't start talking to me and am getting a lil bit annoyed. Usually things like that didn't bother me, but i feel like she taking advantage, what the hell do i do? How can i tell her that she needs to get her own sh*t and leave me alone, i like to just be in my room alone and watch tv, not stay up all night talking about what problem she has with her BF or whatever else, she over stresses things why to much, it's driving me crary. And am a very laid back person so is it me or her? What should i do?

I watched "Imagine me and you" with my girl last night. It was okay, kind of cheesy though, don't you guys think? lol

I liked the movie Gia better except that it's so depressing halfway though I can't finish watching it! Same with Boys Don't Cry and High Art! Why are most gay movies so sad and depressing? What's up with that?

Anyways, what's your favorite lesbian movie, and why? Can you give me a very brief review, I'd sure appreciate it ♥

Thank you lots :)

Ok, here it's:(No jokes please, this is serious)
I'm a 19-year old guy, who's homosexual. I came out to my parents just a few hours ago. They were completely shocked and my mother even cried. Like they both saw a ghost. Then when my father got out of his shock, he told me that if I didn't "fix" myself and return to being "normal", he will deprive me from the money he pays for my college education. I didn't know how to reply. I did consider taking a job, but with my limited skills and education I won't be able to get one that can cover even one quarter of my educational and other spendings. This is difficult for me, I can't change who I am, and in the same time I can't lose my college education, I'm fond of my major, and my college friends, who know about my sexuality and are very OK with it . How should I react? I told my dad that it's out of my hands, but he refused even to listen. HELP! Anyone with similar situation? What should I do?

There is no scientific fact that homosexuality is genetic. I am wondering how common it is for two or more siblings to be Gay/Lesbian?
Any articles or info about this would be greatly appreciated.
