Well ... not for sure if I can prove anything for ya ... but here it goes. When I was a little lad, I realized that I liked the other little lads a lot. So ... after graduation, I ventured out of the closet. About a year after high school my mom decided to tell everyone that she is indeed a lesbian. Shocking ... yet, I felt I already knew. And now my brother has since told me that he likes for his wife to use a dildo on him and was wondering if I had any "guy" friends that were available for a little play time .... shocking .. yet, I felt I already knew. I'm thinking genetics may have a big part on how you are born. But heck ... I could be wrong.

I'm from a family of 5 children, 4 girls, 1 boy. I'm a lesbian and so is one of my sisters.
My first girlfriend was from a family of 6 children, 4 girls, 2 boys. She and one of her sisters were lesbians.
My aunt has four children. 3 boys, 1 girl. 2 of the boys are gay.
I too, would like to read some articles or info on this subject.

I don't have any gay siblings, but i do have a bisexual uncle. People tend to think it's in the genes, but really it's just the way people are.
BTW, everyone in my family can accept the fact that my uncle is Bi, they're having a hard time accepting that i'm a lesbian. Go Figure!

Sexual orientation if probably the end result of: biology + social forces. It is the end result of interaction of these two sets of forces, not just biology (genetics, hormones) alone or not just social forces (parental, peer influence, etc.) alone.
Not only do we see multiple siblings in families being gay or bi, we can also create gay/bi family trees by looking back at family history. Many older family members actually know their relatives were not straight but won't admit that to anyone inquiring about it. In their minds, once these family members are deceased, they have become straight.
To John I: I just answered your question. Hope this helps everyone.

there are many studies that point to homosexuality to be genetic. it has not been proved NOT to be genetic. I don't know how common it is for 2 or more siblings to be gay/lesbian, but I do have a friend who is 1 of 6 sisters....3 of whom are lesbian.
as far as myself, I don't know of anyone else in my family that is homosexual.

You need to realize that being homosexual is a nature it is not a defect. It is like being born left handed.
Being homosexual or in my case bisexual is not about the act it is about the way god made us.
William Barclay, whose commentaries on the books of the New Testament have sold over a million copies, has this comment on celibacy: "Sex is a part of life and the deliberate annihilation of it is not a virtue; it is a criticism of life as God made it and meant it to be."8-8 McNeill believes, "Only a sadistic God would create millions of humans as gay with no choice in the matter and no hope of changing and then deny them the right to express their gayness in a loving relationship for the rest of their lives under threat of eternal damnation."8-9

Hi mom of lesbians, check out PFLAG because it is made up of mostly parents. You could put in a request for that kind of information. I'll bet that would make interesting research for all the chapters. BTW, have you joined? They're really great. pflag.org
I met a man at one chapter who had 3 3kids, all gay.

So far, no one can answer this: how comes some genetic-identical twins who turn out 1 gay and 1 straight? They came from the same genre, same parents, and being raised in the same environment.
