one person say that ALL RACES have been enslaved. that is true but, what's different is that blacks CAN'T TRACE THEIR CULTURE OR HISTORY! sure, the Irish were slaves but they can trace their history! WHY CAN WE???!!

There has been much debate about whether or not AA is religous or spiritual. When I attend meetings, I find that most people present are Christian and worship the Christian God. The word "God" is exchanged verbally and written in their literature. I am not Christian and when I accidently let that be known, I am told to "choose" a higher power. Frankly, I have no need to have a higher power to help me change a bad habit or behaviour. Like many humans, I make mistakes and can change. Sometimes I repeat my mistakes which is part of a personal learning process. I need to feel holistic pain to make changes from self-defeating behaviour like addictions to substance or drugs. Alcohol is a drug. I need to assume full responsibility for my behaviour without help from a mystical and mysterious spiritual being or religion. It's the human way! It works!

do you see a difference? I don't... when i say I'm sorry to someone in (da hood), they say "don't say you're sorry...say you apologize. you are not a sorry person".. i look at them like they're crazy. I am not saying i'm a sorry person...i'm saying that i'm sorry for whatever behavior i did.... i think the reason "ghetto,hood" people get offended by that is because some of them are sorry as a person....calm down, not everyone...I just notice they're real sensitive on that word -- and they really don't need to trip...any input?????

Alright so Ive been straight my whole life, never touched a guy, the thought of it makes me vomit. About 4 months ago, I broke off a long term relationship with my gf, we were together about 3 years, it was a hard break up. Ever since than, my life has gotten pretty shitty. I never wanna be gay, or get with men, but i have these uncontrolable impulses towards men, and its like a goddamn curse. Something pyscologically changed in my head. I dont fantasize about men, i dont have any urges to have sex other men, but im afraid to get close to any male i come in contact with and im afraid im becoming a homosexual because of these awkward impulses. Maybe i should see a theropist i dunno?

I used to get hit on by guys a lot. That doesn't happen so much, anymore. I'm 28...could I be starting to age already? I don't think I look much different.

Also, why is appearance so important in the gay community? I used to never care and thought it was silly. Now, I think about it more and care about it more. Why?

My friend is in love with me and I am in love with him but he does not want to have sex with me unless some financial incentive motivates him to have sex with me. He claims he does not want to have sex with me anymore after we have had sex twice, but he is still in love with me. I feel like I am dying from sexual frustration. He takes psych meds. Is he saying what he really wants and needs to say? Is the psych medicine causing his language to be distorted? I feel as though his love for me is true, but is he telling me what he needs and wants using the right verbal expressions? Could he actually want sex but be telling me the opposite of the truth as the result of the mind and voice discrepancy that could result from taking psych meds? Can a homosexual be in love with a man but not be sexually attracted to that man he is in love with? Can a heterosexual be in love with a person but not be sexually attracted to that person the heterosexual is in love with? Doesn't seem likely to me.
