You're only as old as how you feel...i'm 18 and I feel like im 21...
You're 28, you said...how old do you feel? If you don't feel old then don't act old!!!
As for apperance...Well, it's the same no matter what sexuality you are...Some people are shallow... some people look for the great personality... You shouldn't be so self conscious... I bet you're a good looking guy, and I think you shopuldn't let society, whichever, gay or straight, try to change the way you feel about yourself, regardless if it has to do with looks or anything like that...

I wish I could say "you're only as old as you feel", but unfortunately society says "Young" is beautiful. Look at all the people having plastic surgery procedures to look younger. I think we all strive to be youthful, or better looking, or better this or that. The gay community appears to be much more materialistic and very youth oriented. Could be, at the ripe old age of 28, you are starting to settle into life. Nothing wrong with that! Life a great at any age age. Sure beats the alternative. Besides, who wants to be 21 forever. I would much rather grow to a ripe old age. So sit back and start hitting on a few guys older guys yourself. What do you consider old....30...40....50??? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

For the gay community 30's already old, and the age limit for most youngin's. Appearance, well I guess it's just expected that since one does it, that the other should keep up with it or insecurities or notion that all gay men are attractive and all attractive men are gay. I think it was best put that gay men are all 10's looking for that 11. Not caring is when it's not available, it's that whole idea that you want what you can't have.

There is perhaps some truth still left in the cliche that you are only as old as you feel. If you feel you are old at 28, then maybe you are older in your mind than you are right now. And by getting old, i gather, you refer to physically? Many old people that way are perhaps more attractive than a cute looking bloke with whom you cannot bear to sit with even for a minute.
Looks are important, but only to an extent. Companionship, and the quality of time one spends with a person are fairly independent of merely how good looking a person is. Maybe you feel that way is because right now you are approaching 30, which, to a lot of people marks the end of youth, and you are expected to be "mature" and avunvular in your outlook. It is also a time when people start to look for serious mates for a lifetime. Does the number of hits you get hold more importance to you, or the kind of hits you get?

The gay community is really hard on older people , they don't consider that the older someone get the more he has to contribute to a relationship , money , sexual experience , stability ,knowledge , and he is settled . When you get older you have so much more to offer and you can still find men out there that do not care if you are over 25 as long as you have your stuff together . I have had the same problem finding a partner , I am getting older and still consider my self attractive and have a lot to offer someone that would like to be in my life . Don't sweat it you will find that things go in cycles , and you are still attractive and young .

today is all appearance if you well fit ,muscular you ill look young , but if you that good looking you will still be hit on in your 50s, but if you a cute but average looking person you wont get as many hits after 26. but is not how many hit you get from brainless hot guys . the important is find that guys which no matter if you 21 or 30 or 60 he will still like you. the age is all in how you take care of your self , how old you feel in the inside , and how old you act in the out side . i am 23 years old i the youngest i have date it a guy was 28 and he look to me younger in self , than guys my age who were 60s in there in side . you still very young but you need to find that within your self

After 30, you are considered invisible in the gay community unless you are extremely hot (not just "cute"). But you start getting noticed again around 40 if you are a "hot daddy". Then the young guys in their twenties will start chasing after you.

appearance is not important only in gay community but even if you are straight...if you feel that guys don´t dig you as they used to you maybe changed your attitude of important things in life and they feel it.maybe you are meeting only younger gays who don´t want to commit and you do(or opposite situation)...it´s all about changes even small ones which you don´t feel that much.keep being positive and somebody will appear... :-)))
