If you remember the '60s you weren't there. ;-)

Civil Rights Act ...a Republican supported law, I might add, the Democrats hated it.

The Beatles

Woodstock........and the music/culture that it represented

My 1967 RS/SS 350 375 hp Camaro.......a project in progress

General psychedelia

Some great cinema

Girls...... they could be cute/beautiful by just being themselves and their "normal" weight and style

"Cool" , "LOVE" and "Peace" seemed to really MEAN something

Mostly the 60s are a nostalgic rush......every generations has its great moments.

But there was NOTHING like the anticipation of a new Beatles album coming out every few months..........and THAT'S THE TRUTH.

Ohhh..........did I mention the LOVE part???

i was 3 when the sixties started, and it was a very exciting time to be alive. there was a lot of good, and bad things that happened as well, but i think the best thing was that peoples idealism and optimism, as well as innocence in a way, had not been squashed yet.

The SIXTIES were an exciting, revolutionary, turbulent time of great social and technological change: unforgettable fashion, new musical styles, civil rights, gay and women's liberation, the first manned landing on the moon, peace marches, World's Fairs, flower power, (http://www.sixties.net/sixties.htm)

The young generation fought hard for peace, for civil rights and liberty all over the world, against any war, against destruction of nature... the ideas were very very strong and powerful.

The hippies.....yes......sure they might of been a joke to society, but if it want for them, who knows what kind of generation we would be in today. I mean, they brought good music, cloths (not then, but thanks to there horrible wardrobes, we now have good ones today) and a lot of other stuff.
