Black People! Answer this please?

Question

Ok, I am half black(father) and half white(mother). Half of my life grew up in a black community and now i am living in whites. Just one thing I am confused my whole life why do white people dont have rights to say ***** or *****? Does that mean i cant or can say it?

I have no intention of saying it ok? just curious about it since i am half half

According to the "Jim Crow" and "Grandfather-clause" type laws that still have strong effect on American mentality. You can use it because you are as much Black American as you are White American. (I personally believe we are all mixed so we are all really just brown)

Personally due to the history and connotation of the word I don't believe anyone should use it.

White people especially should not use the term because it was originally used by them to degrade Black Americans.

Black Americans reclaimed the word (in the same type of Bad-is-Good) to refer to those who were close friends, or "down."

But at the end of the day it still has a negative connotation (being less educated/stupid) and should not be used.

I am guessing that this is a variation of "playing the dozens." During slavery days, friends would banter and quip each other with insults to become desensitized to insults, which were constant. Remnants of this exist today with "your mama" jokes or using the n word in a familiar or endearing fashion. A non racial example would be something like this; my mother used to respond to me when I was being sarcastic as a "little heifer." This was okay for mom but you better believe if anyone else had referred to me as such, my mother would have been on them like the terminator. Whether or not you say these words is a personal choice. I prefer not to because I love describing myself and others with beautiful words.

I am Not black but I dont think white people or any one should say words to hurt but I think blacks say ***** maybe for other reasns instead of why white people say it makes you wonder if we have learn anythink from people that really was treated like crap by people who hated anyone with color. I have learned that color is in the eyes of the beholder,if they are kind in heart they wont see any color so you shouldnt if possile not to say words lkke that,its like people who usenasty words when they cant think of any other words.
