yes in a minute. I lived in those "happy years". And they were alot happier and easier than now. People had morals and respect. Everybody mostly knew the rules of living. People stayed out of other peoples business and realized that "your" rights end when they infringe on "someone" elses. 3/4 of the kids in school were not on some form of dexamphetimine or anti-psychotic. A kid could just be a kid. Households ran alot smoother. People had more compassion towards each other. I'm under 50 and in the last 20 years i've seen such a big turnaround in society it sickens me. Now people have unrealilistic goals and concerns. Greed has set in big time. family is not a big priority. Abortion is used as a type of birth control. People will give/sell their rights away for a temp fix or as long as it doesn't interfere with their own personal life at the time. It's a very "me" world and the result is kaos and decay of our society. I could go on and on but this is enough

It does appear that things were certainly more relaxed and innocent back then. I often wonder what it would be like to live in such a world. Of course, there were other issues that we often don't remember. Like how a girl would be disowned if she got pregnant out of wedlock. Somehow she wasn't a person anymore, just a piece of trash. Blacks and other races were somehow deficient. Not everyone thought like this of course, but it was the norm. There are also all the technological advances that have been made. Like computers and the advances in medicine. I'd miss those. But it sure would be nice not to need the police so much and to have less to worry about our kids getting into like drugs.

These were just as common then as they are now. Just back then it didn't have media exposure and everyone kept their secrets to themselves. Now you have to also consider that their are also more people on the earth now as opposed to then. There was Racism and infidelity back then. I mean you are basing reality off of a television show. So my answer is no. I would not change it. And kids back then drank and smoked pot. Some even did cocaine and speed. Drugs and alcohol have been around a long time.

I'm not sure we know that to be true. Everything was undercover so to speak. Children were abused without any laws governing it, sexual abuse was rampant (but hidden and the cause of so much of what's wrong with the world today). Women and blacks were abused more so than today and no one even blinked because that's the way it was. Happy Days is only a sugar coating of the way the world was back then.

Blacks didn't bother applying for the same jobs as whites, no matter how qualified they were, because they knew it was a waste of time. Women went to college, then went home and stayed there with their kids while their degrees gathered dust. All it took to ruin a writer's reputation and career was an allegation of "ties to communism." Women and girls died in uncounted numbers from back-alley abortions. Rivers and lakes were poisoned by industry.
Yeah. Happy days.

All of those things happened, it just didn't show as much publicly, so you didn't pay as much attention to it. Nowadays the Media tries to convince everyone things are a thousand times worse than it was a generation ago. Yeah, that's what they said about the previous generation, and the generation before that, and before that, et cetera. I never believed it.

I would, I cant think of any real negatives that would outweight the positives. But those days are gone, and are unlikely to come back.
