The French helped the Americans against the English in the Independence war, Mr. Benjamin Franklin was the American ambassador in Paris at that time. The french gave the Statue of Liberty to the Americans. They are fighting in Iraq now side by side with the Americans in a war they really don't like. These are the things which are important, when you judge somebody. The deeds. And is not such a thing like collective sin. You can't judge a nation because of the mistakes of a few.

Wow, not all french are like that. I know a lot of french people from the larger cities. They are not rude or unhelpful. They are just sick of having to stop and help idiotic americans who are the rude ones.

That;s interesting. I work in London, with the French, and although they are even more reserved than we are, I would not describe them as arrogant. Let's face it, we English can seem a bit aloof at times but I have alot of time for the French. I find them clear, concise, well mannered and considerate. That's good enough for me!

In France they are arrogant like... the english in England, or the Brazilians in Brazil, or the Argentinians in Argentina, or the Germans in Germany...
Outside France or Canada they are pretty much as all the others nacionalities.

I used to know this french kid name Guam and he was so mean. One time in the third grade he went and got a napkin during lunch then spit on. He then walked over to where I was sitting and threw it on the table right in front of my friend. He was just a brat. He was the only french person that I really got to know and he was very rude.

However in France, where I went for 2 weeks, they went out of their way to help me and help me. There are many people which you just can't reach...but if you reach out to them first, you night be surprised.

Everyone told me that the people in Paris would be rude to me, but they were the nicest and most helpful people I've ever met. One day I was totally lost and a young lad told me to wait, five minutes later he came back with his sister and they walked me back to my hotel. The next day a man on a motorbike saw me looking at a map and pulled over to see if he could help me.

I've never met kinder people.

They are ashamed of their history. Everyone who ever attacked them beat them. The Nazi troops found they lying on the ground crying. The Brits had to save their sorry asses. They can't fight and the men are sissies. As a country they are at the bottom for National Pride.
