Something infinite must have been responsible for the occurence of the human race whether it be accidental or by design. What in this universe is inifinite? Is the universe even infinite? What sparked the first life? Discuss

Okay, in the Bible you have 4 Gospels written decades after Jesus' life, and this is the most substantial evidence.

Next you have a handful of historians, none who lived in Jesus' time, who mentioned a "Christ" based on rumors, and the most quoted of all (Josephus) is, well let's just say there's reasonable doubt there.

There's no history of Jesus in a society of meticulous record keepers.

Not to mention the fact He said He'd be back by the end of a generation, now I'm not one to take the Bible literally, but all definitions of a generation have come and gone.

I'm glad feelings are good enough for some people, but it seems odd that some people can live their entire lives based on something with not only no substantial evidence supporting it, but a lot of evidence to the contrary.

This is why I come here, to see how people can put away all reason, and base their lives on 2000-6000 year old stories. Which is fine, I'm just saying, you might want to second guess it a little.

and when i say one God, i don't mean Jesus or Mary or three in trinity, but i mean the God who created Adam and Eve, the God of Abraham, Moses, and the God who sent Jesus of which you call "father". so which sect in Christianity that worship this God alone without no partner beside Him. which sect of Christianity that really follow the 1st commandment, which says you shall not take other god before Me (God alone).

what ever happened to the old testament. like, dont work on the sabath, dont eat milk and meat, ect. its clearly writen in the old testament, its imposible to logically interpet it a different way.

i have heard an explanation that jesus and the church decided it is either irrelevant, unimportant now, or too connected to judeism. but that makes no sense why would god make a commandment, then uh decide you know what just read it and never follow it. how can someone claim to follow the old testement but never follow it. its a hypycritical concept

absolutely nothing.

two christians stopped me in the street, and i explained that i was an atheist and we had a bit of a debate for a while. they gave up in the end, telling me that the only way i can know the truth for myself is if i ask jesus into my heart. being open minded, i agreed to try it, and absolutely nothing happened.

guess im going to hell then

I'm wondering if perhaps the Catholic ritual of communion, in which they give you a cracker and tell you that you're eating the flesh of Jesus, stems from a misunderstanding. Maybe someone told them way back when that they should serve Christ, and they took it to mean "Serve Christ...for lunch."

Just throwing it out there.

What are the vessels of a potter?

Revelation 2

18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;...

24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

27 "And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; ........as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers.......: even as I received of my Father".

28 And I will give him the morning star.

29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

What you should know about reincarnation is that only humans reincarnate while sub-human forms transmigrant to higher sub-human forms. Humans can only reincarnate into another human form.

After attaining the human form, as a rule there is no reversion to animal forms; the case of retrogression to sub-human forms comes under special and rare exceptions. For the soul which has once attained human status, the normal course is to go through countless reincarnations in the human form itself. The human form may sometimes be male and sometimes female according to the impressions from previous lifes and the spiritual requirements of the soul.

to having sex with here on earth. I really don`t care much for gold streets or mansions or sitting next to God when I get to Heaven. If I could just be allowed to go back in time and have sex with the young girls that I came ever so close to having sex with ,but didn`t quite make it for one reason or another, I would feel justly rewarded for having lived my life on earth pretty much by the ten Cs. I would enjoy repeating some but the ones I missed is what bugs me the most. Such a reward would mean a lot more to me than lavishing around eating fruit off of jeweled dinnerware and walking up and down gold paved streets praising God. I would like to hear what you folks would like to have available to you when we get to Heaven. Is there any one else out there who would like to have a second chance at a sexual encounter that they missed while here on earth? I know we all have to leave it up to God but just out of curiosity I would like to see your preference for a Heavenly reward.

The first revelation of Allah through the angel Gabriel to Muhammad (PBUH) was the word "Iqra" which means "Read" in Surah 96:1-5. As he was illiterate he replied: "I cannot read."

This first revelation was prophesied in Isaiah 29:12:

"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee and he saith, I am not learned."

This prophecy seems as clear as anything that is clear. What do you think?
