The Father

2007-12-26 12:53:20 · answer #1 · answered by SainTtothEeVE 4 · 0 0

Who raised Jesus from the dead?
1) Father - Acts2 24,25
Romans 8:11
1 Corinthians 6:14
2) Jesus (Son) - John 2:19-22
John 10:17,18
Mathew 27:40

Jesus in God, and so it is one and the same.

Jesus said who gave him the power, right before he raised his friend Lazarus from death. He said at John 11:14, "Father I thank you that you have heard me. True I knew that you always hear me, but on account of the crowd standing around I spoke in order that they might believe that you sent me forth". At that point Jesus ressurected Lazarus and gave concrete proof that the power was from God. His God is the same one that we pray to, Jehovah himself. In fact, in time he will ressurect all those in God's memory to life on earth.

--Jesus always acknowledged Gods power was with him and asked for it when he did his miracles and resurrections, while on earth! Of Jesus please note:

Luke 5:17 (Contemporary English Version)

**Jesus Heals a Crippled Man
(Matthew 9.1-8; Mark 2.1-12)
17 "One day some Pharisees and experts in the Law of Moses sat listening to Jesus teach. They had come from every village in Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem.
God had given Jesus the power to heal the sick"

--PLEASE NOTE God gave Jesus power to do healing:

(Luke 5:17) “17 In the course of one of the days he was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law who had come out of every village of Gal′i·lee and Ju·de′a and Jerusalem were sitting there; and Jehovah’s power was there for him to do healing.”

HERE IN THE incident with Lazarus being resurrected , he got the power from God after he requested it to honor Jehovah:

(John 11:41-43) “41 Therefore they took the stone away. Now Jesus raised his eyes heavenward and said: “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 True, I knew that you always hear me; but on account of the crowd standing around I spoke, in order that they might believe that you sent me forth.” 43 And when he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice: “Laz′a·rus, come on out!””

--Would it not still be from the person of God that power emanated from when Jesus was resurrected as the scriptures state:

(Acts 2:24) “. . .But God resurrected him by loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to continue to be held fast by it.”

THE DISTINCTION of the use of holy spirit as power of God is what Jesus had available at special times, given to him by the Almighty!

Good question. If you do not believe in a trinity, the following are contradictions...

GOD
God raised [Jesus] up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. - Acts 2:24

JESUS
Jesus said, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” - John 2:19
“I lay down my life that I may take it up again" - John 10:17

HOLY SPIRIT
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.. - Romans 8:11

By Who's power? The power of the triune Godhead.

Same answer as "me" gave. Jesus is God and raised people from the dead on His own power. He didn't need any help!
