Proverb's 30:1-4. do it slowly for me. I see verse 4 talking about the heavenly father and his son....as a God. Not as a father and sons as a man. Because in the start of the verse it is talking about who made the heavens and the earth, and it finishes what (is)(in a crocked way) his name, and what is his sons name, if thou canst tell?

I do not see how it talks about saying who is this man that knowest God, or who is this son of the man that knows who God is? Show me breaking down the bible if you can your eyes on the bible? Just use slashes and do not add anything in it. if you can.

I see it only as God saying what is my name, and what is my sons name? tell me if you know?

in other words as he backs up threw out the bible no one knows who God is, they do not even know his name or his sons name.

My friend said he wouldn't be caught dead in a Catholic Church? Why is that? Why do people not want to be Catholic?

I'm a Deist and believe that God made the universe but merely set it aside once He was done creating it. Are there any Christians out there that believe that there is a big old guy with a white beard in some cloud in the sky that has a book with everyone's name in it? That when a person sins, God places a big red X next to there name?

Example: Humans who live in different climates have adapted to survive in those climates. Cycle Cell Anemia is an "adaptation" that actually occurred to fight off malaria. The malaria virus cannot attach to a cycle shaped cell. This is why Africans suffer from Cycle Cell Anemia versus their European counterparts.

Evolution would suggest that DNA changed so drastically that Humans were once fish. This I totally disagree with. Yet some give examples of adaptation OR cross-breeding as proof of spontaneous DNA restructuring aka evolution.

Your thoughts please.

As you can see, I never really went to church. I went to church once and that's because we had to go so we could do my grandfather's funeral. But when I was 11 or 12, I was going to give my virginity up to my first boyfriend or the first person who asked. Then a song called "S.E.X" by Lyfe Jennings came out. Its message was to think about it before you give your virginity away. But I'm not going to give myself when I get married. I'm going to give myself to someone who loves and respects me. But it is just weird. Most of my friends are non-virgins and they were just like me. They gave up theirs when to their first boyfriend or to the first cute guy that ask. But when I decided to do the same thing, that song came out. Now all my friends regret it. Was that a message from him? Even though I don't think I was baptized, he really cares about me?

So who is right?

Matthew 7:13-14
. . .Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.

I've heard a Jehovah's Witnesses say this.
Here are some questions.

Since Jehovah's Witnesses appeal to Isa 43:12; 44:8 for Scriptural support that they should be called, "Jehovah's Witnesses" then what was the "new name" prophesied in Isa 62:2?
It Can't be "Jehovah's Witnesses", for God already used it 20 chapters earlier.
Could the new name be "Christian" after our savior "Christ"?

Why would the name God gave to His people not be "Christians" since Acts 11:26 says, "The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch"?
Why is the name "Jehovah's Witness" found Nowhere in the New Testament, if that is God's divine name for His people under the New Covenant?

Why would God wait almost 2000 years to suddenly start using the name "Jehovah's Witness".
Does this mean that First Century Christians were Not known as Jehovah's Witnesses"?

I was baptised as a methodist and have had a very loose relationship with God, rarely going to church and not having much of a Christian identity. Now I desire to become closer to God and do his will, so I attended a new church in my neighborhood that seems to be really laid back, young and fun. I went to one service and liked it, but after some research found out that they follow pentacostal beliefs about the second coming and Jesus being the only path to salvation. I really want to be open to God's message, but I also want to avoid getting indotrinated into a holy roller tent revival sort of thing.

The service I went to seemed really opened minded. Do I have the wrong idea about the pentacostal church? Have things changed over time? Or am I falling for the message they use to lure in people who don't know much about religion so they can teach their message to a blank slate, free of other influences?

I know a lot of people who are atheists and celebrate christmas. Isn't that hypocrisy? Cause celebrating christmas is about celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, hence the name CHRISTmas.

This is just a question of curiosity. I personally know people who celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah/Chanukah/however you spell it, Yule, winter solstice, atheist-kids-get-presents-day, Wintereenmas, Festivus, and just about every other variety of December holiday imaginable. But I have never, ever met anyone who celebrates Kwanzaa.

Yes, I know that there are people out there who do celebrate it. That's not what I'm asking. What I'm asking is: do YOU, PERSONALLY, know anyone who does? If so, what do they do?

As per God whatever be your belief whoever God you pray , as long as you do good you will be blessed. God is not a roadside street goonda to expect prayers to HIM only>

In Ramayana , Ravana was praying only Lord Shiva , he was not accepting other beliefs > So he was killed by Lord Vishnu. The attitude of people like Ravana who donot accept others' beliefs are devils and demons.

God is an intelligent and Knowledged person to understand this secular faith.

By accepting Multiple number of Gods sentiment, through which social harmony and secularism can be established>

God or religion is not such a bad element to say it “there is only one god that is I , if u don’t pray me there is no use and I don’t save you at the end” ,> If God says it , he is not a god it is a DEVIL and Demon.
