My dad was cool with it, plus she was a total babe, so he accepted it even more. lol Though growing up in Louisiana he's pretty far from being a racist, though he hates the gangsta stuff.

I date outside of my race and "within".But being bi-racial already it's not THAT big of a problem for me. Right now I am involved with a Asian man so there are DEFINITELY issues. My father doesn't mind much but my mother is just wary. She doesnt want me to get hurt by the way a lot of Asians think. But I already know. If it was meant to be, it will be I guess. As far as my future children go, it's up to them. Decide on the character of the person, not the color.

It's weird. I don't think there are too many parents :P. But my mother doesn't mind me marrying outside of my race. However, one of her problems is that she is a lot more skeptical of black females than anyone else because of the stereotypes of being "ghetto, stealing, gold-diggers who will have a baby with a dude in a heart beat in order to get a free ride". Although she admitted to that, she said she didn't mind if I did, but just find a good woman is all she cared about.

Extreme, that is not entirely true, remember that recent thing with the grizzly-polar bear hybrid? And yes, wolves will occasionally mate with coyotes.

Bring on the thumbs down cause I am a parent of three grown children, All of which know that if they find a relationship outside of their race don't bother telling me about it or even talking to me again.
That is simply wrong and I will have no part of it.
Like I have said many times before, A wolf doesn't mate with a coyote even though both are canines, A polar doesn't mate with a grizzle even though both are bears. A Sparrow doesn't mate with a robin though both are birds and a mouse doesn't mate with a rat even though both are rodents.
I will have nothing to do with anything that is against nature.

I would prefer that my daughter not get involved with someone of color, simply due to racial attitudes that still exist. Life and relationships are hard enough without dealing with extra problems

i am concerned about how the person treats my son/daughter, whether they are honest, authentic, mature, how their communications skills are, their health, education, work ethic. race is an extremely minor factor. which has almost no influence compared to most other things.
