I realize it has to do with being a Jehovah's Witness, but doesn't that sound frightening to people? Being constantly watched. I mean obviously God/ Jesus Christ will and can do that on His own. I'm just curious- searching for what religion works best with how I currently believe or what appeals the most to my spiritual being/ point of view/ self. I am attempting to be open to more religions but I find the Watchtower title to be intimidating.

I'm not religious, but I've always had a fondness for Joan of Arc. I love her story, and I share a lot of similarities with her. I liked her when I was little, but there was a big gap where I never thought about her at all. But for some unknown reason, I've taken a sudden, massive interest in her again, and can't stop thinking about her. So I decided to do a little research about saints and the catholic religion. I even went so far as to start reading the Bible out of plain curiosity. And I always thought that would be the last thing I'd do.

So I was wondering. How do YOU choose your saints? Do you have more than one? Through some rather odd dreams and contact with the spirit world, I was lead to St. Augustine of Hippo, the Blessed Damien Yamiki, and St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows. I can understand why Joan and Augustine would be my saints, but not so much the other two.

So if anyone has any suggestions for choosing saints, that would be helpful.

there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder.
21I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged.

It's cool when you are 6 but anything after that just turns into a big fiasco. It's now the corporations and major chain stores that tell you what christmas is about.

People love being in the cheery holiday season for about 3 weeks. Then they go back to their crappy jobs hating everyone and being miserable.

A day on a calendar shouldn't change how you act. If you aren't happy like that all the time than you're faking it.

I hate christmas. But I LOVE the day after xmas when people can finally shut the hell up.

I want to wish all of those of all religions and origin a Merry Christmas. I am a Muslim, but here in the US the celebration of it is more a tradition than anything to do with religion. So, I am exchanging gifts with my Christian family and I am going to spend the day with them. This time of year for very few is really about worship. At least in my city, anyway.

And another question: How will you be spending this day off of work for those of you who do work?

im a native american, so my question is, howcome jesus is always depicted as pale blonde haired guy, i mean afterall he was born in the middle-east right, and aren't they all like the same skin color as me, why with that reasoning, maybe he was black, or maybe it looked kinda red, right? But since this is a white dominated world, it's only fitting that he be depicted solely on that race right? (or maybe just maybe he was a mix of all races, that are each apart of him, just that each unique feature is taken from him on placed among differenent races, chinese, native/mexican, white, black. LOL can you imagine how that would like like?)

The birth of "Jesus" is remembered each year but the Name of Yeshua Mashiyach, the Kingdom of Elohim and His Righteous Torah are a contemptuous infamy for the lukewarm religious. The Torah reminds us:

Exodus 23:2 "You shall not follow a multitude to do evil"

Yeshua Mashiyach said:

Luke 16:15 "That which is highly esteemed among men is abominable in the sight of Elohim"

Apostle Paul writes:

Romans 12:2 "Be ye not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may know what is that good and acceptable and wholehearted will of Elohim."

Please pass this message along to your family, friends whether they be Christian, Jewish, Believers or non-Believers, we have an obligation to love each other and warn each other. Delving into pagan rituals is NOT a light matter, regardless of one's "intentions"!

You say Jesus was a Jew.

You also say Jesus is still alive (He arose).

(By the way I am a believer)

So why do you say He "was" a Jew?

Did He convert? Did He say the Sinners prayer in Heaven? Is He all "Christian" now??

Obviously, I think He is still a Jew.

thoughts??
