I've spent quite a bit of time in St. Louis and it is soda but I've heard some-further south-say pop or soda pop. In south Texas it is soda or cola. . .And Kewr is exactly right about Texas. . .It's like ordering a hamburger and say no condiments please. And they will say so you don't want it with lettuce or tomato. No-no mustard, no catsup, no mayo or SAUCE of any kind. Oh, you want it dry. Yes. Then you go back and get the same person and order it dry and they say-you don't want lettuce or tomato?

Soda...
There's no dignity in saying pop, unless you're 6 years old.

I say pop, but I live in the south and here they dont say soda or pop... they say 'drink'. I want some drink.. means I want some pop. Let's go to the store and get some drink. Not something to drink mind you.. but just get some drink. Really it sounds like drank. So come on y'all let's go to the sto' and get some drank!
