i consider myself closer to atheism than religion, but i see no future for atheism. because atheists have none or one kid. meanwhile, the more religious someone is, the more kids they have. also the more deeply religious someone's background is, the more closeminded and brainwashed they are likely to be

so how is a world of reason and enlightenment and scientific progress to survive when there are more people born every day who grow up hostile to scientific fact and reason? is the world doomed to the poverty and violence that religious people always create in their simpleminded strictures about how to live?

Heavenly Father in Jesus Name, I lift up all prayer requests around the world that agree in prayer & abide in Your One Spirit & abide in Your Word, that You will be true to Your Word & hear our prayer. For You say that if we abide in Your Word & Your Love that You will hear our prayer. And we know that if You hear our prayer that we get the answer from You. And that if we agree in Spirit & request that when You hear we know that we get the petition of our request. And we can ask that this mountain be removed & be thrown into the sea, it will be done. If our faith is the growing kind of faith like the mustard seed grows into the largest herbal plant.

So this prayer request is for all prayers around the world that pray Your way, in spirit & truth. So, we won't miss any prayer requests? That we all get our answers above & beyond what we can ask or think. Because You are able to do abundantly above whatever we ask or think.

So? Can all Christians agree for this prayer?

Why does each christian sect teach exclusivity? In other words, why does each religion teach that only members of their faith will be allowed to live in the actual presence of God in the next life?

Ex: I have been a practicing Mormon (LDS) most of my life and have only recently left the church. Throughout my youth I was taught that only people sealed (married) inside a mormon temple can go to the highest level of heaven and live with God. Everyone else has to live in a lower level of heaven and cannot go to the higher level. Other christian sects teach that only people baptized into their church will be in the presence of God. Why would God force his children to be apart from him cause they were not dunked in water?
I have thoughly studied the doctrine of most major christian sects and virtually every christian faith claims to be the only true church.
Would you keep your children away cause they weren't dunked in water or sealed? I would let mine be with me no matter what.

in a certain part of the US where people don't like my style of clothing and someone walks up to me and tells me that they 'it's people like me that are ruining their way of life,' should I ignore them or should I be more sensitive and let them know that the rich are the ones destroying America, not me and my pop culture?

I don't like American music very much so maybe he thinks that I am trying to be a negative American influence by mistake?

I have to admit, it does me. What happens to all the people who were not chosen by God? Aren't we all his creations?

I know that Jesus died to save us all and blah blah blah...but what was so DANG special about the Hebrews? Some covenant with an old dead guy? Well, does that automatically curse the rest of the world? If I were someone living in Abraham's time, and Abraham beat me to covenant making with God, I'd be pissed! Was there not enough covenant to go around?

Hmm...makes me glad for a restored gospel that does.

I need help with this roommate etiquette. There are three of us living together. I am hardly ever home (work and school full time). My roommates are always home and using the dishes and leaving them in the sink. I maybe use one bowl and a couple spoons and forks for each batch of dirty dishes that goes in the dishwasher. My roommate asked me to do the dishes because she and the other girl do them all the time. I said I don't mind helping them, but they are not my dirty dishes. Plus, I have done them before when they asked and I had done them last (when they weren't mine either). I don't understand why they expect me to do the dishes when they aren't my mess. Am I missing something or should I help out more to be "polite"? Oh, and they wouldn't have any dishes or silverware if it weren't for me anyways--all of the stuff is mine. Am I in the wrong for saying no? Thanks!

not care if it due to menopause, mental defect or illness. They have locked me in two rooms of MY house with beer, coke, fried chicken, my chihuahua, tv and computer. They intend to keep me here until Christmas morning. I think it is because they have parties to attend, cookies to bake and presents to wrap and I am in the way. I do have a credit card and a cell phone. If I pay for you a round trip ticket will fly to Florida and rescue me?
They did just promise me a bottle of Irish Creme and my Mr. Coffee and a chamber pot if I will stop singing Aretha Franklins version of Respect and the song Rescue me. They say I have made them allergic to Motown.

The story of Abraham sacrificing his son as re-written in the Islamic writings is the most glaring attempt to re-tell the Biblical story. Issac whose name was recorded nearly 2600 years before Mohammad wrote his version is the son Abraham took with him to the mountain.

Mohammed claimed it was Ishmael.

Is it strange to enjoy being a internet exhibitionist, when I am really shy in real life??

I've posted some private pictures of myself online.

Only one person who has access to them, but I love that she looks!

What does this mean?

What is the point of life - what is the ultimate goal? From a purely secular point of view, if it's self-fufillment and it's up to us to decide our own meaning for ourselves - why does it bother you that religious people have decided their meaning is found in religion? The majority of the people on this earth have.

You seem to think religious thought is bad for society in general - but again let me ask you from a secular point of view what is so wrong with religion? If the point of life is evolution and natural selection, might I say that some religions are quite adept at aiding in reproduction. "Be fruitful and multiply" for example.

Infact religions that incorporate polygamy seem to have truly adapted to maximum reproduction - one powerful man with many females - there's a rich Muslim who's goal in life is to have his 100th child before he dies - he's quite close.

Tell me what is the ultimate goal of life according to you that religion hinders?

When will Santa be appropriated into the Homeland Security apparatus? Think about it - he sees you when you're sleeping; he knows when you're awake. Is there a Constitutional provision that would deny Bush access to Santa's infrastructure?

Are people who don't believe in Santa (like Jewish people) immune from Santa's spying ability?

My fiance and I have been together for over a year and recently became engaged. Lately, all we've been doing is fighting every other day. I don't know what my problem is. He's really a great guy and hasn't done anything to me. Yesterday, one of our arguments became public. I became so upset that I started slapping him in the street and calling him all kinds of names. He never so much as raised his hand to defend himself from me. He just turned around and walked away.

I am really ashamed about the way I treated him and amazed that he still wants to be with me. But I'm really afraid of my temper and that one day, things might get completely out of control. How can I become a wife, much less a mother, with a temper like this?

I need help (I have no health insurance). I don't want to end up pushing my fiance away. I'm totally distraught about everything. I've been praying about it for a while now but it seems as though nothing's changing.

Can someone please offer some advice???
