in a certain part of the US where people don't like my style of clothing and someone walks up to me and tells me that they 'it's people like me that are ruining their way of life,' should I ignore them or should I be more sensitive and let them know that the rich are the ones destroying America, not me and my pop culture?

I don't like American music very much so maybe he thinks that I am trying to be a negative American influence by mistake?

DamnPocketProtector, sounds like you've been playing a little too much Assassin's Creed.

Barbra, really? So you're saying that the guy that said this was justified? In a country where everyone is entitled to live freely you don't sound very American yourself.

1. What they said was very rude and inappropriate.
2. What they said was very illogical.

They are not worthy of any words that you could share.

Why should anybody care what kind of clothes you wear and how you walk down the street? I just care about what I do. I don't care what kind of music that you like; you are the one who has to listen to it. There are all kinds of people who are rich that make up this world, They have many ideas, like all kinds of music, and dress all kind of ways. Rich or poor; it doesn't matter. It's what's in the soul of the people that matters.
You sound like you just like to cause trouble and pick about things that don't matter. Find something important to pick about. If you don't like America; go some where else. The world is a big place with lots of choices.

music doesn't matter, it's a personal thing until you force me to listen to it, then you're a problem

If anybody walked up to you and said that...

They would be "being rude..."

That is not proper behavior, nor is it a "proper" thing to say to someone on the street about their clothing...

The "respectful" thing to do would be to...

Just kill you...(and disappear into the crowd...)

THAT's the American Way...

Lol...
