Is there any person here who is gay who can honestly say that they lost their virginity to a person of the same sex and never ever touched a person of the opposite sex.

I'm interested because I see a lot of gay people who switched but have not met a gay person who was apparently immediately gay.

I'm an athiest and I celebrate christmas...Not as a religious holiday but I approve of it as a holiday because people tend to give to the less fortunate. It opens people's eyes to doing good. Most people never even mention God, Jesus, or religion for christmas. It's just called the season of giving and that's the reason I celebrate...Anyone else out there that celebrates?

Can somone please explain to me how some people say religion is crap and are not a Christian and everything, but say they are followers of God an dJesus Christ...it's never quite maked sense to me as a Christian. One guy where I live works with a Christian church, and with the youth and bringing them out. He speaks about God and everything. But yet, he says religion is crap, I don't believe in religion, it's fake, etc.

Is there a way to explain?

That is, paintings on the wall, the tea set, the curtains etc.? Also, do you like to study the actors when they are suppose to be eating? Some eat like they are starving and others just move the fork about. Am I the only one that notices these things?

God placed us all in this horrible existence of madness and illogical logic. Like clockwork, we all follow the same path to nowhere.

I wonder if we really are in existence and am longing for death to take me to a new place, perhaps a land which isn't so hollow and vain.

Everything has a contradiction, even contradictions have contradictions, I don't understand how they don't cancel each other out.

Life+Death=Zero=Nothingness

Yet, here we are in the land of nothingness, with our make-believe lives and make-believe crowns and kingdoms of sand and stone.

Will you wake me up when it's over?

I know christmas is about Jesus' birthday., but where did 'Santa Clause' come from? I mean really? We are supposed to celebrate christmas because thats when the lord Jesus was born, and instead its about some guy dressed up in red going around giving presents to all the good little boys and girls of the world. Where did Santa Clause come from?!

With the war on terror underway in the middle east and the movement in the USA to remove any religious symbol from public view and from any holiday season. They're even trying the remove the word "Christmas" from Christmas Day because it refers to Jesus Christ. I even heard that in some places they want to remove Jewish symbols. Isn't this a war on religion itself? How many religions will they go after?

I am spending Christmas with my boyfriend at his mother's house, and there will be quite a few other family members there as well. Problem is, that everyone involved is a drinker, myself included, but I don't really feel comfortable tying one on in front of my (possible) future MIL - what if I do/say something stupid/inappropriate? But I have to drink something with them - it is a social thing that their family does at the holidays. Apparently, Mom likes to party. If I don't party with her, she'll notice, and be offended, but at the same time, I am going to have to be dealing with this woman for a while, and I don't want to embarass myself. Suggestions?

I would like to hear stories from people that have done radical things (socialy, financialy, spiritualy, or otherwise) to change there own lives.
Please state your personal goal... and the vehicle that you used in an atempt to manifest it.
Even if it did not produce the desired effect!

Would you do it again???

in a religious ceremony other than Wiccan, have you considered getting remarried in the tradition you now embrace? I am doing so, and I am using "Handfasting and Wedding Rituals" by Raven Kaldera & Tannin Schwartzstein to put together a beautiful ritual. They have great ideas! Any other ideas on where to find some pre-written rituals I could modify to suit us? (We are both followers of a tradition of Wicca/Witchcraft.) Blessed Yule!

We Shall Be Free

FIRST APPEARED ON

ALSO APPEARES ON

This ain't comin' from no prophet
Just an ordinary man
When I close my eyes I see
The way this world shall be
When we all walk hand in hand

When the last child cries for a crust of bread
When the last man dies for just words that he said
When there's shelter over the poorest head
We shall be free

When the last thing we notice is the color of skin
And the first thing we look for is the beauty within
When the skies and the oceans are clean again
Then we shall be free

We shall be free
We shall be free
Stand straight, walk proud
'Cause we shall be free
When we're free to love anyone we choose
When this world's big enough for all different views
When we all can worship from our own kind of pew
Then we shall be free
We shall be free

We shall be free
Have a little faith
Hold out
'Cause we shall be free

And when money talks for the very last time
And nobody walks a step behind
When there's only one race and that's mankind
Then we shall be free

We shall be free
We shall be free
Stand straight, walk proud, have a little faith, hold out
We shall be free

We shall be free
We shall be free
Stand straight, have a little faith

We shall be free

OK hit me with your facts. Then slide down to your nearest Christian cemetary. Yell out "how's it going guys". The answer you receive from the Christians burried there is the reality of your religion. Now hit me with the fantasy.
