"You will die" simply means *to the ego*.

The soul is eternal and never ceases to exist. The ego is the last to die.

The words death and life have two meanings in the bible and we tend to mix the two. On one hand they refer to our relationship with God. We use picture like being born again, living in Christ etc. On the other hand they refer to physical life and death.

You need to look at the context before you can determine the meaning at that point.

The issue of life after death is most complex and I haven't come to any conclusions about it. It seems that Jesus was steeped in Jewish views but it is not immediately obvious which particularly set he followed. The subject is made difficult by the writings in the Revelation of St. John

Yes, it is true...you will die.
Your heart will stop beating, you will stop breathing...your body will expire.
That is physical death, and it happens to every living thing...even the weeds in the garden will die. (What sin did the daisies commit, I wonder?)
Clever of you to notice that dead bodies don't speak to you...no, not even the dead bodies of Christians.
Physical death is pretty traumatic for those immured in a physical world...
But there is more to it than that. There is death...and then there is DEATH!!...
Those who believe that their spirits are immortal are STILL believing the lie that the serpent (a.k.a. Satan) told...you've heard it, I'm sure..."you won't surely die"...
However, Jesus said to fear the One Who could DESTROY BOTH BODY AND SOUL...
Yes, your soul (spirit) can also die. There is a "second death"...no coming back from that one...

There are many "fantasies" my friend. One of them is that physical death is the end...

The funny thing is that you think our living bodies are the only expression of life we can have. Dead Christians live on in Heaven; someday, their bodies will be resurrected and reunited with their souls.

p.s. -- the resurrection will happen to you someday, too. JSYK.

Ok I just got back from the cemetery visit...the people at the Baptist cemetery said it's true...you will die...the Catholics were a little divided but generally agreed because the pope told them it was so...and the Lutherans said they didn't believe anything the pope says...

I'm guessing it's true...you will die...no translation needed on that one...

The bible is God's word! it is nothing to be laughed at!! After Christ Jesus came into this world he became the sacrifice of our sins! God says in the book of malachi i think so..not wuite sure which book in the bible..but it says til there are hills and mountains around us so will the kindness of Him remain for us!.But yes all those who do not follow God.and accept Jesus Christ as their personal saviour and wish to follow the devil in the passions of thie world will sure end up in the lake of fire.

Note* God did not plan for us to burn eternally. it is not His wish for us. but it is our decision to follow Chirst our God or follow the devil intot he lake of fire ( hell)!!
so which path have u chosen my friend?
