Who has off after Christmas and new years? reasons?

My work shuts down production between 12-24-07 and 1-2-08.
I get paid for the time off, It's like taking another vacation.

I am off today after 3:30pm and do not come back to work till the 26th. The for new years I have off from 3:30 friday and do not return until jan 2
