For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law [are] just before Yahweh, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Jam 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Jam 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Romans 10:4 Jesus fulfill the law. & today you have some still think we are under the law, if we were under the law now, we will have to do every little things they did back before Christ. Therefore no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident for The JUST(SAVED) shall live by faith, We are not bound by the law anymore.

People who quote John 14:15 fail to understand that this verse is not referring to keeping of the Law. It is referring to the Bible as a whole, from Gen to Rev.

along the lines of what teeM said, in studying who the galatians were, u will see that, unlike the corinthians, they were very capable and willing to keep the law...TOO willing. remember that Paul's main message throughout the entirety of his New Test. epistles is that:
JESUS fulfilled the prophesies and He is the ultimate sacrifice! No longer do we need to be slaves to the law, but we have FREEDOM in Christ,...
yes, the law is still very relevant (for guiding and showing us our sin), but we are to depend upon Christ for everything else.

We're not justified by the law but that doesn't mean it's not good to stick to it as much as possible. If you have faith you'll want to do what's right just for the sake of doing what's right. (Faith without works is dead.)

Maybe because in various places we are told by Christ and apostles that only those who "do" the will of the Father or "keep" the commandments...will be saved.

The only way to reconcile this is that to "Live by faith" means to Keep the Commandments because we believe Christ when He tells us it is important and the only way to Follow Him Home.

Paul is contrasting the Jewish faith vs the faith we have in Jesus.

The Jews believed you could 'earn' salvation by keeping the Law of Moses.

Paul tells us no one but Jesus was able 'earn' salvation' because we are the imperfect offspring of Adam.

Jesus came to purchase from that imperfection, thus giving us the oppurtunity to receive life, or salvation.

Though we are no longer under the "Law of Moses" we are under the "Law of the Christ"

Notice what Jesus says about 'Losing' our salvation:

Matt 7:21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.

Matt 7:24 “Therefore everyone that hears these sayings of mine and does them will be likened to a discreet man, who built his house upon the rock-mass. 25 And the rain poured down and the floods came and the winds blew and lashed against that house, but it did not cave in, for it had been founded upon the rock-mass. 26 Furthermore, everyone hearing these sayings of mine and not doing them will be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. 27 And the rain poured down and the floods came and the winds blew and struck against that house and it caved in, and its collapse was great.”

Did you notice, "Doing the will of my Father" was a requirement.

Did you notice, "Hear my voice and obey" was a requirement.

Rev 3:1‘I know your deeds, that you have the name that you are alive, but you are dead.

Did you notice these Christians are being judged, not on their faith, but on their deeds.

We must obey the Law of the Christ, not the Law of Moses.

The very fact that 'faith' is required shows we have to do something to qualify for the free gift.

We don't obey some law to satisfy God, we do it for ourselves. Following "the law" is not so God will be happy, it's for our benefit.
